Hi folks!

New to buggying this year, although have spent several excellent days up at Brancaster practicing the 'art' (....... oh, and new to this forum malarky also!)

I'm going to south Wales next week "on me jollies", - Gower peninsular & Tenby areas. Does anyone know of any decent buggy beaches in the area?

Cheers

buggys have been banned from tenby beach during the summer m8, after some idiot injured him self with a 6.4 blade trying to show off when everyone else was on 2.5m bullets (except me i was on an 8m storm) and ended up gettin air lifted to hospital  ne way we go to pendine on most sundays now.

Yo Mark...

You will find lots of restrictions for buggying on welsh beach's over the next month or so due to people flocking to the beach on sunny days...

The only beach with no restrictions is Pendine...

9 miles of hard flat golden sand...

See you on the beach Sunday...

Pendine is a cracking venue-excellent surface and miles and miles of it, but Rhossilli beach is just so much more of a nice place to be-you've still got a huge area of sand and an ace surface, but no cars/motorbikes belting up and down, and, well, just nicer.

Wind can be a bit messy and lumpy if it's cross offshore, and really turbulent behind the downs if its offshore.

Well worth a look, especially if you're on the Gower anyway. Llangennith/Hillend is a good place to get on-easier than carrying your kit down at Rhossilli village, but you can see the whole beach from the terrace of the Worms Head Hotel in the village, whilst supping a nice pint of the beer of your choice!

Thanks to all those with suggestions - I'll check out Pendine, Rossilliy etc - maybe see some of you guys down there!

Happy Buggying!

Old thread I know... but I did use the search function to answer my questions rather than posting a new one :)

But not all of them...

Thought about going to the Ho! but I think it will be super packed with people and I cant stomach the thought of the M5 into Devon... so...

Thinking of going to Wormshead for 2 days over easter break... Sat & Sun

1) It is gonna be packed with people???

2) Anyone know what he campsite name, phone number is?

3) Is it OK to board there?

I've got the webcam link so I guess I can check on Friday but just looking for some insider knowledge...

Cheers upfront for the info :)

Wormshead/ Rhossilli can get busy at either end, but theres a big stretch in the middle which never gets too busy. Definitely approach from the LLangenith end to avoid the steps down to the beach. Boarding's fine:- couple of people getting some really good high-speed runs there last sunday!!
