Hi Guys

as we all know kite jumping with fixed bridal kites is dangerous, its also made much worse by gusts.

Would you say its safer on a beach with clean wind, so no gusts with a 4 to 6 meter fixed bridal, using handles?

Cheers

Well I am no expert in this style of flying, thinking from experience, large Blades mk III or above flown on 40 m lines on a good beach would be the safest option for you to get some really big airs. I don't know what you fly but please post some videos & let us know how you get on.

Good luck

Hey volante, basically yes. Jumping is inherantly? dangerous, so the more variables you can rule out the better. Beach winds are 'generally' cleaner/less gusty but you still need to check forecasts etc as nature can be a fickle fecker and a nice day can soon turn into silly danger day! Your best gauge is your head! If you think it's getting dangerous, you've waited too long, if you think it's going to get dangerous and packed up, you guessed right. If you sit in the van and it calms down, you can go back out. If you're in the back of an ambulance, it may be a while before you're out again. Don't want to be a killjoy, go out there and enjoy it, getting to the beach is great, you can have so much fun and learn sooo much quicker when the wind is steady onshore with no surprises, kites just love beach winds, and when the sun is shining too you'll wonder why you struggle over the park. Pick the right day and no matter how far, it's always worth a trip to the beach!
