TassieDevil Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 Hi Phil, and welcome to EK forums ! A stormchaser, eh ? Ever considered joining the Storm Spotters network ? http://www.bom.gov.au/storm_spotters/ Gary Quote
flipster Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 Hi Phil, and welcome to EK forums ! A stormchaser, eh ? Ever considered joining the Storm Spotters network ? http://www.bom.gov.au/storm_spotters/http://www.bom.gov.au/storm_spotters/ Gary Yep! Well I'm not actually a storm spotter but I do have contacts at BoM/Others whom I can call if need be to report something, it's a good idea though! I'm part of Australian Severe Weather Assosciation (http://www.severeweather.asn.au/public/index.php) and talk on the weatherzone forum on occasion too. I guess a few of the people here would be interested in the weather giving kiting does somewhat rely on it! Phill Quote

I'm staying down at browns plains at the moment but have nothing specific planned for the weekend! I noticed your other thread where you go so I can easily find it What time sunday? Quote
vyner Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 Hey guys. My name is Mark. As I posted in another thread, I just got a rev for christmas, have done a little bit of two-string flying before that, but was nowhere near 'stunt' level on a two string, and am barely starting out on the Rev. It was really really frustrating the first time I flew it, and then by the third time it came together. I can actually make the thing land now and look vaguely professional. Of course, that's about ALL I can do at the moment, but more will come. I'm in Adelaide, I'm a workaholic who rarely gets time to enjoy stuff like this, and last Sunday (when it all came together) I spent far longer out on the beach than I should have- ended up with sunburn! But it was worth it Quote
TassieDevil Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 Welcome again, Mark... and don't forget... "Slip, Slop, Slap", mate.. Gary Quote
flipster Posted January 29, 2009 Report Posted January 29, 2009 I'm still looking for a job heh, if I can't find one I'll have to go back to Syd I want to start learning to kite! Edit: I even had my first dream of kiting last night... is that weird? Quote
JKS Posted January 29, 2009 Report Posted January 29, 2009 Were you on the land ? ... or was it wet Marty Quote
