The Geoff
Sorry, being a geek again. Just thinking about the whole biomechanics thing and trying to visualise a few moves. I think I might use the bar to rotate myself in flight a little, as in push it sideways against the depower line and you rotate through your "normal" vertical axis - eg you twist around inside your harness. I wear a seat harness, but I'm guessing you can use it to a greater effect in a waist harness (as in toeside). I can't actually work out if I'm doing that though
andrew pattullo
very technical , I am thinking the same way, try to visualise if I twisted at the top of the jump to try and change the direction of float ,
mick
Well, I'm just trying to visualize knocking my head on the wall. What you 2 on about?
andrew pattullo
mick its called visualizing a trick or jump in your head , before trying it for real !

Andy-j
yeah, you need to visualise stuff in your head to undertsand the mechanics of a trick fully. in regards to what you're saying, if you point your head and shoulders, your body will follow. I have my harness tight so it doesn't move much but i think for waveriding it would be beneficial to loosen it off.

yorkshireboy
Andy Hurdman did a load of 'how to' videos for Best a few years back. Really good for visualizing how the tricks should be done. [/url]
The Geoff
I got a review copy of the kitesurfing guide and the related wave riding book from the publisher when I was working in the bookshop - last I saw of them they were being passed around members on here, somebody should still have them if anyone wants a look. http://forum.kitecrowd.com/newcomers-q/kitecrowd-library-201062.html
