Hi what's the beach like there is it worth me putting my race buggy in for a speed session or is it just a small buggy beach & are there any pools or lagoons to kite surf in or on ?

I've been over 50mph in a Flexi buggy at Branny but that was with the wind in the right direction allowing a diagonal run across the permitted area which included a patch of ripples. With the size of area that can be used it seems when you just get going its time to think about slowing down, guess thats why freestyle is more common there. Beach conditions range from excellent to bloody awful.

The beach is massive, but land kiting is only permitted in a very small area with often dubious sand conditions. There are some great lagoons for kitesurfing at midtide. Again, there is a zone for kitesurfing, but it is PLENTY big enough.

 

The zoning at Brancaster is very important. You will be seen if you go out of the zones and you WILL piss off the locals, so please be aware of where you can go and where you can't. That said, I hope you have a banging session, it's a top beach, shame I don't live near it any more!
