triton Posted November 11, 2010 Report Posted November 11, 2010 Looking at crew saver dry suits cos there cheap can any one comment on the (Glideskin Neoprene neck and cuff seals for a tight seal against water ingress ) is this as water tight as good old laytex? Graeme Quote
garybrazier Posted November 11, 2010 Report Posted November 11, 2010 I've had a Gul Enforcer drysuit for past 3 years, worked fine, kept me fairly dry and warm, (ankle and wrist seals are real difficult to keep totally sealed when being smashed about) but I sold it recently as I got a C-skins wired 5mm suit a couple years back, then never bothered with the drysuit again.. So much nicer, more comfortable and I have never really felt cold in it. As I am into waves, I was always a bit worried in the drysuit when I got rinsed. Guess there has been a lot of debate on the pro's and cons, just thought I'd share my experience. Quote

mikechml1599968606 Posted November 12, 2010 Report Posted November 12, 2010 If you're looking for a cheap suit, Lomo's well worth a look, I bought the tornado suit last month and it's really good. Quote
JohnDave Posted November 12, 2010 Report Posted November 12, 2010 the latex seals will give give you a better seal but they are itchy and irritating to wear, and can cause what looks live a love bite on your neck. The neoprene ones let a but more water past but are really comfy to wear. If you want I'm selling my drysuit, http://forum.kitecrowd.com/sale/gul-astral-drysuit-188448.html Quote
