Kiteboyza Posted August 26, 2010 Report Posted August 26, 2010 I have a boat, it's a green canoe and it goes down the river like stink once a week. I can carry a passenger and still have room for a case of beers and half a dozen pies. I like my boat Quote
-Olly- Posted August 26, 2010 Report Posted August 26, 2010 do you even need to bother with the river bit if you have beer and pies? Quote
gazxtreme Posted August 26, 2010 Report Posted August 26, 2010 I have 2 boats:p My Hobie 16 gets me going in 4 knots and needs 2 on the trapezes up around 12 knots because it's steaming along. Grin factor:D:D:D:D:D My Zap Cat complete with Tohatsu 50hp puts a smile on my face in no wind. Racing flat out around a cicuit pulling 2.5G on the turn, jumping clear off waves, wakeboarding, towables. Grin factor:D:D:D:D I love my boats. Quote

PieGuy Posted August 26, 2010 Report Posted August 26, 2010 @PieGuy: I take it you mean you like a bit of 'Arry on the Boat? What me and my seamen get up to on the poopdeck is our own business. Quote
Kiteboyza Posted August 26, 2010 Author Report Posted August 26, 2010 hope you have taken the autolube off and cutt the rev limiter.....also look at better reeds in the carbs, stainless cleaver cut and then bent over on a tow hitch..just to get a better bite...the boat i had was a Ceasar, ghad a Gemini before that. the Ceasar has an adjustable nose wing to keep her down into the wind...oh the money i wasted on that boat...ps. fill the fecker with helium, way lighter Quote

Engine is pretty standard except the steering damper and tiller extension, no intentions of racing, you need very deep pockets from what I know. It's used for the kiteschool safety boat and for light wind fun. It's actually the X-Cat but you get used to telling people it's a Zap Cat cause they know what it is then. What's the thing with the auto lube? Got to admit that since I got the Hobie 16 I prefer to go sailing, there's just something about using the wind and your skill to read the conditions. Quote
The Geoff Posted August 26, 2010 Report Posted August 26, 2010 I've got a kite and a plank. In UK waters an aircraft carrier has to give way to me unless it's on official blowing-stuff-up business. I rest my case. I've got a boat. Quote
sgillow Posted August 27, 2010 Report Posted August 27, 2010 I have 3 boats, all sailing (racing) dinghies: RS200 - 2 person assymetric spinnaker Laser - 1 man 1 sail Scorpion - 2 person symetric spinnaker The RS200 is up for sale if anyone wants it. Simon Quote
5N1TCH Posted August 27, 2010 Report Posted August 27, 2010 Photos please Simon. The Geoff, how many cases of beer can you get on your 'boat'? Quote
The Geoff Posted August 27, 2010 Report Posted August 27, 2010 No idea, never tried, but a camelbak full of single malt would do the job quite nicely Quote
Kiteboyza Posted August 27, 2010 Author Report Posted August 27, 2010 rumours are going about that Morb is building a new pirate boat Quote
harry_a Posted August 27, 2010 Report Posted August 27, 2010 this would be my beast.. a summer's worth of work and a flogged laser later I bought me an RS700: http://img810.imageshack.us/img810/363/39252116109632516817606.jpg it's fast with a capital F. athough putting the spinnaker up invokes death so far. the gybes are a wee bit tricky with only one set of hands Quote
ukspeedtraps Posted August 27, 2010 Report Posted August 27, 2010 I am not quite the owner just yet but get use of it when its in the UK, its my Dads 50 ft yacht called Pepper.
