m.klinge Posted September 17, 2012 Report Posted September 17, 2012 I just have to share the fact that I've just ordered an upgrade from my old Trampa board I'm really excited about the setup: - A holy pro 17 ply (prolly have to customise it a bit to get the flex right) - Superstar hubs fitted with alpha tyres - Titanium VerTigo trucks with titanium kingpin Hoping to get it by the end of the week - ill post a picture when it arrives Oh well just had to get it out amongst people who might actually understand me (as opposed to my wife and work colleges ) //M Quote
zahra Posted September 17, 2012 Report Posted September 17, 2012 Yep this is definitely the place to share something like that We appreciate and know exactly how u feel!!! which is "thrilled!!!" Quote
andy666 Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 Oh well just had to get it out amongst people who might actually understand I know how you feel, I still get strange looks from the guys at work when I tell them I'm going kite flying on the weekend. Can't wait for some pics of the new board Quote
SoutherlyBuster Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 To get the fellas at work all fired up, pull out the landboard in the car park and take it for spin. Did I read right, you'r going for a skate truck? I thought you have Matrix/Channel truck on your current system. I suppose you are going for the ultra light for the free-style action rather than speed runs where stability is more important. My son prefers the skate trucks because they are lighter. Quote

Well yea it might work out to bring it and take it for a spin ;-) I'm still going for channel truck setup - though it would be lighter I prefer the stability they offer ;-) //M Quote
bakersdozen Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 I'm excited for ya bro pictures or it never happend Lightness vs stability is always a fine line Can't wait to see some more videos as well, mate! Quote

m.klinge Posted September 20, 2012 Author Report Posted September 20, 2012 It has arrived! Colors are matching very well up against my 9.0 Matrixx (Red) and 12.0 Matrixx (Blue) Now i just need some decent wind to try it out in //M Quote
andy666 Posted September 20, 2012 Report Posted September 20, 2012 damn thats a nice looking board Quote
SoutherlyBuster Posted September 21, 2012 Report Posted September 21, 2012 Looks like they shaved off every bit of carbon that didn't need to be there. So what is the all up wait when you put the board on the scales? Quote
m.klinge Posted September 21, 2012 Author Report Posted September 21, 2012 Looks like they shaved off every bit of carbon that didn't need to be there. So what is the all up wait when you put the board on the scales? Well since i got the 17 ply which turned out to be a little thicker than i would require it ends up around the 7,5 kg mark. It's rather heavy for a freestyle board but on the other hand decent for a channel truck board. It's not as flexi as I would like it to be, however I could just cut off some excess material to make it more flexible (And lighter as well) - in the end it all come up to how it feels when actually riding it //M Quote
bakersdozen Posted September 21, 2012 Report Posted September 21, 2012 That looks the goods! Awesome Let us know how she goes! Plummet, keep us updated on the build. Quote
m.klinge Posted October 2, 2012 Author Report Posted October 2, 2012 I have yet to try out my board- getting quite frustrated :-( I have however modified the board to flex more: Perhaps not the nicest cut (And havnt filed the new edge yet) - however it does flex just as i like it now //M Quote
zahra Posted October 8, 2012 Report Posted October 8, 2012 And...the wait was worth it mazing color combo Quote
