yugga Posted March 30, 2010 Report Posted March 30, 2010 im thinking of trading my girlfriend in for one who likes kites!! any takers? there seems to be a distinct lack of female kiters in the UK! come on girls. you must be out there somewhere!!? Quote
shiner Posted March 30, 2010 Report Posted March 30, 2010 Ah yugga,a kiters eternal search, many a dollars been spent on kites both 2 and 4 line, trying to get the ladies interested by married and single guys alike, those kites usually end up being sold in mint condition!,and unless the flying area of choice has a mahoosive shopping mall next to it,you may struggle, bacause of course ladies get bored quickly,we can kite for hours n hours.Of course, some ladies love kiting, all types, but to find one in london, try your local kite club(if the council will let you have one),have you got your present lass a kite, has she tried kiting?,is it worth the effort?,consider these facts, and if you already have, the very best of luck to you. auto-photos Posted March 30, 2010 Report Posted March 30, 2010 well i had some small kites ready for the misses to try and she turned it down, so i sold the kites on and then a week later asks me if i can get her a kite to try, ffs Quote
crut Posted March 30, 2010 Report Posted March 30, 2010 *smug* I'm married to one who likes to kite \o/ I quote from our conversation last night about our upcoming holiday in Wales: "I'm really looking forward to being out flying together on the water again" (she hasn't flow for a number of weeks) We've been snow kiting in Norway, several different countries for long warm water based kiteboarding. She even flies C kites Quote

What's more, after an 18 month break to have the aforementioned small boy she got straight up and upwind like she'd never stopped. Kitewives rock! Quote

Hillside Posted March 30, 2010 Report Posted March 30, 2010 Tried to get the wife into flying 2 or 3 years ago. I bought her a nice PKD Buster 2m to get started on. She flew it only once having been dragged screaming across the field with me shouting "let go of the bloody handles", which she did eventually. She then sat down in the middle of the field, arm folded and said "I didn't like that at all". That was the first and only time she tried it. There is a positive note to this though. The missus stays at home on a Sunday and does domestic things whilst I can go out and have fun!!! Quote
Cyprino Posted March 30, 2010 Report Posted March 30, 2010 I'd just settle for a girlfriend, at this stage, haha. Think about a kiting one later... She even flies C kites Is there something you're not telling us? I thought you needed hooj ballz to fly C kites Quote
Sand-Yeti Posted March 30, 2010 Report Posted March 30, 2010 Tried to get my Mrs into kiting many years ago and bought her a small kite. Well to cut a long story short , it didn't work out too well. It's not all bad because she follows us all over the desert in her Polaris Razor (800cc dune buggy) and that seems to keep her happy. It's been useful on occasion when being a long way from the cars without wind. Quote
lucie8uk Posted March 30, 2010 Report Posted March 30, 2010 Humph. I am a girl who kites. A lot. Believe it or not I can't find a bloke, let alone one who kites. Everyone assumes I must meet loads of eligible men kiting, but it just ain't happening.... Have been single for 14 months... Quote

Used twice but kept going down on me. @ Pie guy. There was a nice shot of her here somewhere. Not my bedroom wall unfortunately. I have a Wife that doesn't kite. Its great. My dinners ready when I get home. She does what a woman was designed to do. Cook and clean with a bit of horizontal exercise thrown in. Quote
