downbubble Posted October 29, 2010 Report Posted October 29, 2010 Hey everybody! Looks like the weather is gonna be ok this weekend after all! Woohoo! Camping at EKS is a goer if you're up for it or just fly on the day... Us WKM boys will camp over, that way we can fly at night and have a beer or three after! Hope to see you guys up there tomorrow! Squarehead666 Posted October 29, 2010 Report Posted October 29, 2010 Tom, get yer ass (and yer buggy) over to EKS for the weekend.....300 acres to play on and NO sheep shit, it's gonna be a really good weekend over there mate! All the best Andy S. Quote

skipperoo Posted November 7, 2010 Report Posted November 7, 2010 Better to be a warm poof than cold and muddy like we were at 11 this morning hehe Quote
Squarehead666 Posted November 8, 2010 Report Posted November 8, 2010 How's it going with the Flows? Not sure when we'll be up next.....Weather looks pants this week! FWIW & All the best Andy S. Quote
skipperoo Posted November 8, 2010 Report Posted November 8, 2010 The flow flew beautifully for all of ten mins til my fingers went numb and the board sunk in the cleeve mud, productive sesh lol This week is looking shockingly bad :-( Quote
Gregga Posted November 11, 2010 Report Posted November 11, 2010 wow, weather station showing gusting 50mph! Quote
Gregga Posted November 11, 2010 Report Posted November 11, 2010 MB7UC Weather Records max gust 59.7mph! i bet it was wayyy more 25m up at line lenght! - tesco bag anyone? Quote
downbubble Posted November 11, 2010 Report Posted November 11, 2010 hey everyone! What's happening on Saturday? Wind is supposedly 15's gusting to 29's... (Met Office) and sunny! Could be a bit bonkers... I'll see what the rest of us WKM mob are up to.... May be a good time to be at EKS (sheep-sh*t-free...) if anyone fancies that instead of being up on the Hill. I'm happy anywhere as long as I can fly! Quote

I'm happy anywhere as long as I can fly! it might be sheep shite free hence they're gone and rain probably washed everything down... i hope it eases off for weekend and change direction slightly.. as im desperate for nice session see you all there Quote
mikeymustard Posted November 12, 2010 Report Posted November 12, 2010 As long as the wind's not quite as mental as it's been this week the weather station recorded a 60mph gust yesterday. Was up there Tues in 35mph winds - fun fun fun! A friend of my mum's boyfriend said he saw some mentalist being dragged along the common by a kite, and if it wasn't for the fact that he was a "big chap" he'd have been blown away. After he described said mental my mum said "Er, that was my son!" Lol Quote
Squarehead666 Posted November 12, 2010 Report Posted November 12, 2010 Got my shiny new harness, so I'm feeling brave.....Hopefully it'll be Guerrilla country! Mind you, I'll need to be brave, given the record Dell's kites have for maiming users other than their owner..... All the best Andy S. Quote
Blade1990 Posted November 12, 2010 Report Posted November 12, 2010 Are you starting to go over to de-power Andy? haven't seen you and the guys (or many people at all for that matter) up at Cleeve for ages, any idea when your next session will be? Best of luck with the harness, and Dell's kites;)! While we're on the subject of new kit, just bought an ex demo 10m Manta from atb shop to replace my sabre 2 12m, really itching to fly it, though not sure whether to be exited, or scared s***less:D! I won't be up this weekend because of work but the weekend after I should be up both days if the weather is good (and slightly less lethal than recently: 60mph gusts:eek:) to have another crack at the whole airbourne with a board thing!! Hope to see people back up at Cleeve again soon, Kieran Quote
skipperoo Posted November 12, 2010 Report Posted November 12, 2010 Was up at Cleeve last Sunday and it wasn't pretty after only 2 days rain, took nearly 2 hours to clean the board due to sinking in mud/sheep crap composites, so dunno what its gonna be like after last nights deluge! Quote
Squarehead666 Posted November 12, 2010 Report Posted November 12, 2010 I wouldn't say I'm going over to depower, but I will be adding depower to my repetoire.....Couldn't live without my Blades and Begos mate! Why not come over to EKS if it's crap up at Cleeve? Guaranteed no sheep-s**t and 300 billiard table smooth (if slightly muddy in the middle) acres to roll around on. All the best Andy S. PS - Good luck with the Manta.....I quite fancy one of those fellas, or a Frenzy, or a..... Quote
rhys cowe Posted November 12, 2010 Report Posted November 12, 2010 I need to get out flying again soon-its been too long (2 weeks since halloween at worcs!) May try to get up cleeve tomorrow if there's wind. haven't had a muddy session in ages and my board and kite are looking far too clean!!!! Anyone else fancy a mud bath?!? Quote
downbubble Posted November 12, 2010 Report Posted November 12, 2010 Bah! Those Met Office people need a stiff seeing-to... Last night when I checked it was 15's gusting to 30 at Cleeve and much the same at EKS. Now? miserable 7's with maybe a 20 gust around lunchtime over here... Cleeve has much the same but more gusts. What do they do at the Met? Draw numbers out of a bag? I got all excited too... 7's.... gutted... A day in bed with a book, then? Andy will live to fly another day then, his virgin harness won't hook him into one of my Kites Of Doom. Unlucky (?) mate... Don't think we'll make Cleeve tomoz, Naf's gotta tinker with his car in the morning and by the time he's sorted it'll be a bit late to get there and set up. I wanna FLY! Going slowly crazy... Still, I have a shed load of glowsticks so flying after work is a go-er... small consolation, it's the WEEKEND dammit! Whoops! Tears of frustration are getting into my keyboard... Quote
