Andy-j Posted November 15, 2009 Report Posted November 15, 2009 Was out yesterday, 12m session then too much so headed in to land my kite.. Managed to slash my foot on a rock.. Had to chop a big flappy bit of skin off the ball of my foot Went back out on the 9 and done a few loops then gave in and went to tend to my foot. So i guess no kiting for me today! just try and rest it and keep it dry for a week and hopefully its good enough for kiting with a swim sock on... Quote
POT BELLY Posted November 15, 2009 Report Posted November 15, 2009 We had an average of 35 knots at Felixstowe gusting to 47 yesterday and now it's 8 knots:mad: but yesterday more that made up for it. Quote

Foilman Posted November 15, 2009 Report Posted November 15, 2009 Was out at Clacton earlier - 8 Kts. Just about up & going on a 6' surfboard & 12m hifi but getting up wind was touch & go... Quote
Andy C Posted November 15, 2009 Report Posted November 15, 2009 Yesterday evening at the Dale was top, sat in vans at 3m with no wind, watched the weather front blow in from the West bringing 30 knots or more from then onwards, only 3 of us out, and Forshaw and me continued kiting until it was completely dark, could only see the way back to the cars by looking at the lights from the town in the distance.... _Geordie_ Posted November 15, 2009 Report Posted November 15, 2009 P1ssed down most of the day here - there was a little window but late in the day saved it for today. 6 of us went to St Bees 20mph (fairly up and down though), sunny, relatively warm - not a bad session - 40 mins or so on the twin tip and then about the same on the surfboard - started hailstoning so decided to call it a day. Stoked really as it looked like we weren't gonna get out as it was pretty light - picked up enough though and was lit on the 15m. Quote

kiteingcolin Posted November 15, 2009 Author Report Posted November 15, 2009 flippin XC, for blackrock area it promised, crossed its heart and hope to die, sort of promise , to be blowing 24mph SW, with sun and mild temp, well it was mild, it was very sunny, but after 45 mins on my 10mtr the wind sort of died away within 2 hours, so much for dreams of 24mph, good day though, 12 out on the water, Quote

I watched you both until it was pitch black, 17:10. You both were having good fun. It was too windy for me + I only turned up with my 11m thinking the wind was going to be light. Went to St Annes today, struggled getting up on my 11m, I can't work the kite like the good guys. There were a few out though. Quote

lucie8uk Posted November 15, 2009 Report Posted November 15, 2009 Yup, I had two 7m sessions on two different beaches on the south coast - with a 65 mile drive between, in my wetsuit. That was interesting. Fantastic in Portland Harbour this afternoon. Quote
jetskipricey Posted November 15, 2009 Report Posted November 15, 2009 (edited) was out at camber 9m to start then onto 13m. at least 50 kites on water at one stage. + 1 guy in the road. Edited November 16, 2009 by jetskipricey Quote
cowboy54 Posted November 15, 2009 Report Posted November 15, 2009 managed to catch a live fish while out on the water! You would be complaining if it was a dead one! quite a few folks out down at Hunny today Quote
wayne kitesurfer Posted November 16, 2009 Report Posted November 16, 2009 Wind a bit light in the morning at hells mouth, stuck with the 9 but ended up changing to a 13, it picked up later and ended up being maxed on it. Seriously big waves, just three of us out, and a couple of surfers, Rimmer shit his pants at one stage when he saw a huge wall of water chasing him, I dropped my kit out in the big stuff luckily it survived, chris was less fortunate, a big wave ate his 12 and shredded it. Just wished i hadn't of taken any notice of others, who advised against going there on Saturday when it was even bigger, stating that it was silly in those conditions. Looks like more of the same for later in the week. Bring it on. Quote
heres jonny Posted November 16, 2009 Report Posted November 16, 2009 i was at Camber with Eazyrider and Peter32...the 3 of us were on our landboards, boosting some nice airs...wind was epic, about 15-20mph, but seemed to have shed loads of power in it...good fun:) i borrowed Pete's Ion 3 12.5 and have now found the kite i need, just dialled into it so smoothly and it was a great session... except i have 2 broken bearings, a broken truck and a flat tyre:) and i stretched tendon on the side of my knee... Camber was packed with kitesurfers, absolutely stacked, but looked pretty ideal to be honest. Quote
Spyke Posted November 16, 2009 Report Posted November 16, 2009 Sorry, to disappoint you all. Pembrey 19-28 knots all day long, low tide on the push. Was Flipping epic!!! :D Yep, was some good wind Quote
