Richiethered Posted October 9, 2009 Report Posted October 9, 2009 Carl mate, I'm really sorry and as I was stood there when you were "apparently" being unsafe then all I can say is they are talking shit!! Agree with all of everyone's comments about the Dale's spirit dying. Apparently, the rules and regs aren't a problem as far as Chris is concerned. Personally, as a relative noob, I would prefer something a little bigger than a fucking bathtub to surf in! Kevs point was well raised as we had a little coming together (no comments!!) near a noob when it was well crowded the other week. The beach wasn't built just for Chris and just because we don't need to pay him for lessons doesn't mean we can't use the nice watery stuff too!! As for the council, they need to just say once and for all if they would like us all to fuck off. Kitesurfing, by definition, is a dangerous sport and we all have insurance to come on to the beach, hence why they aren't liable for us. Let us do our own risk assessment and leave us to enjoy our sport. Otherwise, tell us straight up to fuck off and stay off their beach. I don't care as long as they stop dancing about. Too many scousers trying to make rules when they aren't needed!! Finally, as for Carl, I think it's a fucking shame considering the guy started me on the road to safe landboarding, better technique, a wealth of advice and gave me the confidence to get into the water and go for it. Plus his messages about safe flying have kept me in one piece, especially when i was very new to this. Apparently, the new rules are there to protect us and people not klilling themselves in front of their kids. But we should be self launching. I pointed out this to Chris and he just looked at me like I was weird until I explained I like the safest option where someone was there to help me if the shit hit the fan on launch!! I'm moving to West Kirby soon. All welcome at my place for Bacon butties before we hit the Wirral coast!! Rich Quote
DARKSIDE1599968628 Posted October 9, 2009 Report Posted October 9, 2009 Just as a side note bud, did you know that the winter restrictions are in place now at West Kirby. No sailing by the shoreline or by the islands, where the bouys are. Sorry, don't mean to hi jack any threads. Quote

Bigbud Posted October 13, 2009 Report Posted October 13, 2009 To Permit holders, An additional rule to further improve the safe use of Kite Zone for all beach users has been agreed by the KZUP; "No launching or landing within 100m of the beach parking area." This has been added as rule number 24 (please see attached). Please note that there will be permitted filming activity at the south end of Ainsdale on 14th and 15th October but Kite Zone will remain open. Quote

Have you had any runnings with the rangers...dave Mc..or the teletubbie? Is your permit, insurance up to date? Are you a member of any of the kite clubs at ainsdale-on-sea. Quote
