Ped Posted September 23, 2009 Report Posted September 23, 2009 Anyone flying in or about aberdeen? Just got here for uni and looking for somewhere to go. The queens links down by the Bridge of Don is probably the best place for you to go - its where most kiters go in aberdeen when they cant get onto the beach, I was going to suggest checking out the KiteHQ forum as its aberdeens local forum but it sems to be down...... This is where you'd be looking for - http://www.flashearth.com/?lat=57.172365&lon=-2.088636&z=16.7&r=0&src=msl You'll soon see folk down there. Ped:D Quote
The Flyin Scotsman Posted September 23, 2009 Report Posted September 23, 2009 And if you fancy travelling or going to events, check out http://www.spka.org for events at St. Andrews (if you have transport ) and elsewhere in scotland. Kev Quote
Arretu Posted September 23, 2009 Author Report Posted September 23, 2009 transport can be arranged. forcefully if that is required ^^ thanks for the answers Quote
king.module Posted September 23, 2009 Report Posted September 23, 2009 unfortunately queens links hasn't been mown for an age so no one flys there these days kiteHQ forum is no more as far as i'm aware. http://www.synergykitesports.com/forum/ is the local forum/kite school I'm heading to the bobbin (king street) around 4'ish this arvo for a couple of pints - mag and mark (from synergykitesports) should be there so if your around pop in and say hello - i'll be the one with long dreads, carrying a longboard (if it's not raining) and an wearing ozone branded top - shouldn't be too hard to spot Quote
Arretu Posted September 23, 2009 Author Report Posted September 23, 2009 bobbin is my local! semi-long brown hair, green t-shirt and stupid white shoes -.-. probably outside smoking edit: do I need to switch from BPKA to SPKA? Quote
king.module Posted September 23, 2009 Report Posted September 23, 2009 bobbin is everyone's local round that area - the rest of the pubs in the area are pretty crappy to say the least!!! no need to swap insurance as they'll both cover you... but if you want to support the spka when you current one runs out then (*mental note* must post off my spka application form!)
