smudge837 Posted September 1, 2009 Report Posted September 1, 2009 hi all. i've been lurking in the back ground reading the site for a few months now and picked up some good info and tips, so thanks to all who give good input. if any body could point me in the direction of a decent place to buggy next week it would be very helpful. i'm looking at camping for the week and distance not really a problem. i was thinking of westward ho looks like a good camp site right on the beach. i have insurance and the helmet, also so a member of BKSA. mainly wondering where we can go fly without upsetting anybody or paying a fortune. any help would be appreciated. cheers smudge Quote

Coolboarder Posted September 2, 2009 Report Posted September 2, 2009 (edited) i was thinking of westward ho looks like a good camp site right on the beach. Westward Ho is a great beach but can sometimes suffer from soft sand. As for camping it depends what you are after. You are probably looking at Braddicks which isnt far from the beach. Personally i wouldnt camp there for a week. Its got its uses. Ok for kite festivals and weekends but i would never take my family there for a camping hol. Try Steart farm which is about 20 mins away. http://www.steartfarmtouringpark.co.uk/ Having said that, if you`re not fussy Braddicks is very convienient for the beach and town. They have a bar which does food. There is also a nice pub in town called the Water Front which does excelent food. Easily reached along the front by foot. Rob.
