BenR Posted August 29, 2009 Report Posted August 29, 2009 I was watching you all from my house when I got from cycling in the lakes this afternoon. It looked very fast, and the beach didn't even look all that dry...if the rain holds off and the wind keeps up what could tomorrow hold eh? 61.8 mph is seriously fast. Rather you than me I think. popeyethewelder Posted August 30, 2009 Report Posted August 30, 2009 cant see the fun in going in a straight line all day long lol oh we had plenty of fun all right......and there weren't many straight lines either...new bug runs sweet, although I know of some minor mods I want to do to it, plus after riding with a leading link for the last year and going back to basics with a fixed fork.....my god the difference is unbelievable, you dont realise how much vibration runs through your body, even with Eurotrax on,....it felt like I was using wooden cart wheels....and the beach was smooth FFS...give me a leading link any day of the week, zero stress on the legs and body, smooth ride = happy pilot Quote

popeyethewelder Posted August 30, 2009 Report Posted August 30, 2009 (edited) looks like the tornado is the buggy at the front, carl you need to go and build something for straight line speed:D yep a Tornado with a Venom...nearly 5 times bigger than the kite I was flying....big respect to Mark for that awesome speed almost 100kmph http://pic7.piczo.com/Popeyethewelder?g=50871827 Edited August 30, 2009 by popeyethewelder Quote
Trikbitz Posted August 30, 2009 Report Posted August 30, 2009 What size were you on Carl?? Although the venom is big a yak less than half the size will have the same power. sounds like you had a good day up there. Are you using the Eurotrax I grooved for you now??? Quote

I was on the 4m to start with, but had my best speed on the 3.4m....front wheel only one of the new ones John, I want to move two of the other onto assyms before I put them on the rear....I would guess his 13m Venom would be the equivalent to a 5m Yak, the scary thing is, he was only half trimmed in, there is still plenty in his Venom yet... BladeAddict Posted August 30, 2009 Report Posted August 30, 2009 Tornado is the buggy at the front Nothing wrong with my yaks jon. I usually use the venom at BLS cuz its better suited to the safari riding i like there, appears to work quite well for speed runs too Beach conditions were near perfect. Quote

You can change the tyres by hand washing up liquid and no tools required just take out the valve when you pop them onto the rim. Quote
