Dubs Posted June 9, 2010 Author Report Posted June 9, 2010 Nice dave! But how much of that did you really pay for Quote
tsp13 Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 How did you get the cool fade effect on the trucks???? Is it just spray paint??? Quote
danthedmrrider Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 heres my new long trampa board , not as good as some on here but i like it Quote
Dubs Posted June 9, 2010 Author Report Posted June 9, 2010 Nice one dan Cut that mofo down! You've got some sick hardware on it- the deck will thank you Quote
danthedmrrider Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 i wish i could cut it down but its waaaay too flexi for that Quote
Cyprino Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 i wish i could cut it down but its waaaay too flexi for that How many ply is the deck? How flexy are we talking? If you can bounce on it without bottoming out, you're good to go. You could always move the trucks in an inch either end - I did and it's made a massive difference, my board feels less 'spongy' to ride. (Mine's a 13 ply short deck, i'm just under 10st) Quote
danthedmrrider Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 i was told its a 15ply but im 80kg and i can get it within 4cm of the ground just by jumping up and down on it (without a kite) so im not sure whether its a 15ply or not but ive never riden a trampa before so it might be normal. its a long skate deck though so im not sure if that makes any different to a short deck Quote
Cyprino Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 It's normal for them to feel really flexy. Mine felt so strange to start with, but I've got used to it. Jon's got a CKB which is as stiff as a board, hence he doesn't get on with my deck! If you can bounce and still have 4cm to the floor at the lowest point, you've got a fair bit of chopping space. Move the trucks in, curve the sides in, cut down the tips and it'll be awesome Quote
davededude Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 Nice dave! But how much of that did you really pay for LOL. Anyway. A friend of mine did it, he can do other kit, set of trucks from about £40 more colours you want the more expensive it gets. Its properly done, stripped back with primer and sprayed on with car/boat paint, very sturdy. you wouldnt get it looking this sexy with a tin of spray paint. I dont think he's advertised his services as the price to get the paint, prime it, cleaning out spray gear after every time seems a bit excesive for just a pair of trucks or board....but if your interested let me know. Quote
sneds Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 mines a 14 ply and i weigh 13 stone its on here some where i took out half an inch on each side and cut the curved ends down i have to fair jump on it to bottom it out. Quote
danthedmrrider Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 i think i might just ride it and see how i get on with it, i think its just that ive gone from a scrubs lion canyon board which was very stiff and heavy, and i just jumped up to this so it feals really spongy and flexi, and because it feals really light in comparison to my old board i just think that its going to bottom out on every jump Quote
redmark Posted June 10, 2010 Report Posted June 10, 2010 skates or revos cant decide http://i983.photobucket.com/albums/ae316/markcath1/04062010255.jpg http://i983.photobucket.com/albums/ae316/markcath1/04062010253.jpg http://i983.photobucket.com/albums/ae316/markcath1/kite%20boards/10062010267.jpg http://i983.photobucket.com/albums/ae316/markcath1/kite%20boards/10062010265.jpg http://i983.photobucket.com/albums/ae316/markcath1/kite%20boards/10062010268.jpg help Quote
Afro1599968737 Posted June 10, 2010 Report Posted June 10, 2010 skates or revos cant decide have you double drilled the board? or do you have weird trucks? standard skates and revos do not have the same hole spacing. as to your question... skates for turning & jumping, or revos for never breaking; your call. Quote
redmark Posted June 10, 2010 Report Posted June 10, 2010 just weighed with revos and alloys 6.1 kgs mmm i can cope with that revos it is me thinks skates or revos cant decide http://i983.photobucket.com/albums/ae316/markcath1/04062010255.jpg http://i983.photobucket.com/albums/ae316/markcath1/04062010253.jpg http://i983.photobucket.com/albums/ae316/markcath1/kite%20boards/10062010267.jpg http://i983.photobucket.com/albums/ae316/markcath1/kite%20boards/10062010265.jpg http://i983.photobucket.com/albums/ae316/markcath1/kite%20boards/10062010268.jpg help Quote
parksy Posted June 10, 2010 Report Posted June 10, 2010 (edited) Revos look nicer, but are like carrying a cow, if you happy with weight stick with revo, but take the dustbin lid washers off, they look kack Edited December 9, 2011 by parksy Quote
redmark Posted June 10, 2010 Report Posted June 10, 2010 i have double drilled afro it was drilled for skates but i wanted my revos on so i drilled for revos and now i cant decide well couldnt but i have and revos it is weights not a issue it only weighs 6.1 kgs anyhow with revos and alloys lighter than my comp 6 i use for mountainboarding and the steering part dosnt apply kiting so REVOS have you double drilled the board? or do you have weird trucks? standard skates and revos do not have the same hole spacing. as to your question... skates for turning & jumping, or revos for never breaking; your call. redmark Posted June 10, 2010 Report Posted June 10, 2010 yeah they do parsky but they are conceling the old holes almost so i might just have them powdercoated with my revos and manhicks and binding brackets just stuck for colours now Revos look nicer, but are like carrying a cow, if you happy with weight stick with revo, but take the dustbin lid washers off, they look kack Quote
