Bigbud Posted December 9, 2009 Report Posted December 9, 2009 I can report that I had the demo board from kiteitright (thanks a lot Tom, you went out of your way to get it too me) and I really liked it but its not for me atm Had the board out in both 40mph and on another day 20mph winds, handled the chop really well and was great going over the big waves. Very little spray which I do get with my current board and this board turned into toeside effortlessly. Think its been said before that it just feels so smooth !! And I managed to get my first pop on this board. All that said you can tell I'm still not a great rider and still learning but I'm sure that in the right hands it would be a weapon and I will definitely be asking kiteitright for another demo next year when my riding has hopefully progessed to a point where I can use it to better effect. Mad-Fly Posted December 12, 2009 Report Posted December 12, 2009 (edited) Have to agree with you where's the 132x40 carbon gone from last years sizes. Looks like the closest is now BALLISTIC M / 132 x 41,5 how much difference will that extra 1.5cm make? Edited December 12, 2009 by Mad-Fly Quote
Blast Posted December 12, 2009 Report Posted December 12, 2009 Check out the Advisory ................. http://i11.servimg.com/u/f11/13/31/75/40/13amc10.jpg ADVISORY AM CARBON / 130 x 40 The AM 130 x 40 is, like the AS, developed for Freestyle. The board has got amazing upwind performance and is pretty fast. It is 5cm longer than the AS shape for heavier riders competing with low wind conditions. The 2D Absorption technology combined to a thicker wood core guarantee a direct and very reactive ride attitude. The board allows using smaller kites that is a must for technical freestyle tricks. This shape is built as Advisory mode wood as well as carbon construction: for riders with highes exigencies and with no-compromises. FEATURES: 2D ABSORPTION competition stiff - CONCAVE BOTTOM COMPONENTS: 12mm ULC wood core + unidirectional carbon strength from tip to tip + 2 times 120g/qm biaxial carbon layers + high clear ultra light UV protected 0,3mm ABS top sheet and strong ABS side walls Quote
Blast Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 Yeh the Ballistic is the replacement for the BFC Carbon board http://www.blastkiteboarding.co.uk/images/uploads/ball_m.jpg Blankforce assure me this size is the nuts! We'll have some here in the New Year Blast Kiteboarding - Blankforce Ballistic M 132 x 41.5 (Powered by CubeCart) Quote
simon1976 Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 the 132 carbon last year was pretty much the same size as a 555 134 so maybe it will be slightly bigger than you think, obviously there isnt a huge difference anyway. The boards do look nice this year though. Quote
Andy-j Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 Sorry, but i'm really not liking the sizes.. Glad i got a proto now. Quote

Blast Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 The boards are on a photo shoot as we speak in West Oz! I'll post some up as soon as I get them. I dont believe the tips are chanells like on the old BFX Wood board Tom & I should have some demo/stock mid January hopefully! Quote
Andy-j Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 Having said i wasn't sure, i'm sure these sizes work. My BFC is amazing, the best and the most confidence building deck i've ever been on. Quote
