Soo anybody has anything to say about this kite? I know its kinda old, but how well would it work for a beginner compared to a 4-lined 09 SLE (Royal Solo)?

The reason i ask is that i might need a slightly bigger kite than my solo, and this one is damn cheap :)

Ive just about reached the point where i can get up on the board and sail a couple hundred meters - not turning yet :)

well i have an 09 ozone instinct light and its a sweet sweet kite. i presume the older model is not quite as good but ozone generally makes good shit. So if its cheap as chips then its worth a shot.

The light series is aimed at beginer/intermediate/wave rider. so it is the type of kite your should be looking for.

Lastly. kite design has come a long way in 4 years. so if you can afford newer then do that instead.

Well its around 150 AUD barely used :)

Well the 11 meter solo does the job quite ok for me now, but its getting hotter by the day where i live - so i might need a kite thats a little bigger - but not at any cost :)

The Ozone Instinct Light was only introduced in 2007.

In 2006 Ozone on had the original instinct. In the following year they split the range into Light, Sport and Edge.

The 2007 Instinct Light is a nice kite and really good for learning/teaching on. I had a 9m Light as a high wind kite for a season and spent most of it's using it as a teaching kite for friends. It's very stable with excellent depower at the bar. My only criticisms of the kite would be that it doesn't generate much lift (again, good for beginners), and that it's turning style can only be described as slow,slow,slow,WOAH-quick!

I can highly recommend it as a beginner/intermediate kite or as a surf kite.
