Sand-Yeti Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 I flew a 9.0m Blade II for a couple of years and found it at the time a nice low wind buggy engine. It has lots of grunt & worked well pulling up sand dunes. I still have the kite but it hasn't been out of the bag for years but am sure it would still work OK. My low wind kite is an 8.5 Blade III with a AAA adjuster kit. Downside to the big old kites like the 9.0 was that it turned very slowly, which is handicap when running the dunes. I know the 8.5 Blade IV will turn quicker than my III but to be honest I don't bother flying that much in low winds. If Flexi introduce a new large kite about 8.5 to 9.0m that turns quicker than what's currently available, then I will upgrade. Here's a couple of old pics I found of me being pulled up a dune with my old 9.0 m Blade on Christmas day in 2003. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a394/Sand-Yeti/Up.jpg http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a394/Sand-Yeti/TopDune.jpg Quote

idefix Posted March 30, 2009 Report Posted March 30, 2009 day 4 in the none smoking house and you was this mornings victim wish me luck.... I wish you luck as my first post here. I quit smoking almost 3 years ago (30 gauloises / 5 EURO a day). I tried to stop maybe 20 times, every time unsuccessfully, but now I know that I'm never going to smoke again. In one month I save 150 EUR that way! That's a buggy in 4 months! I have to admit that I used nicotine tablets for 6 months, gradually decreasing the quantity. Without them I would not have succeeded, but now I'm free. So, good luck! When it gets difficult or unbearable, think about the kites you can buy with this money, and above all: your health! You won't regret it in three-six months. Quote
