gavw Posted March 9, 2009 Report Posted March 9, 2009 @ Rich - nearly sorted the 12 line tangle - do you want your kite parapacked or lines wrappped onto handles ??????? Hows the fingers still smarting a bit? - I have a seriously red gritty eye which is as sore as - full of sand from yesterdays wind blasting but thats a minor thing in comparison to your fingers . Going now to bathe in optrex:(
Bushy99 Posted March 9, 2009 Report Posted March 9, 2009 @Rich - sounds nasty mate. Hope there is some healing going on. Did you make it to A&E today or are you going for double hard status. Finger injuries are nasty. Got loads of pics for work. Especially "de-glovings". I'm sure Encona will distribute the testicular degloving at some stage. Warnign about fitting harnesses properly:eek:
gavw Posted March 9, 2009 Report Posted March 9, 2009 Me thinks i might need to goto the eye hospital - eye is now well red and feels like its full of grit :(

LichRich Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 Did you make it to A&E today or are you going for double hard status. Double hard status (that was from Game On wasn't it?) - or I could have a slight fear of hospitals and so am avoiding:o @Gav - handle wrap or para mate, I do both - thanks
Wylde Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 @ Lich Hope the fingers are feeling better mate. Nasty. Was an interesting session on Sunday for sure. Did anyone else actually get to move in the end after I left or was movement only achieved by Dan, John and me. (John wins on accouint of his 54mph speed run!) That 2m Sammy really was trying to kill me, and was nearly successful on launch! Certainly was a baptism of fire for my return to Blackrock. Hopefully next time will be less challenging wind! As for the 22nd, I've got no hope of getting to a beach on Mothers Day!!!!!
encona1599968593 Posted March 10, 2009 Author Report Posted March 10, 2009 yeah dude got a bit of action but my mods to my carab/qr wasnt good it kept popping the qr, didnt wanna fly unhooked in that lol back to drawing board or shall we say the tooling department for a bit more lathe work @bushy only on gag factor
encona1599968593 Posted March 12, 2009 Author Report Posted March 12, 2009 Evening All Myself and a 21 colleagues from 'Land Rover & Jaguar' are taking part in a cycle trip ( '2 Wheels 2 Wales' in June) to raise funds for cancer research. Unfortunately, we probably all know someone who has been touched by this dreadful illness. The event starts at the Jaguar, Castle Bromwich plant on Saturday morning (6 June 2009) and finishes in Llangollen, Wales on Sunday 7th, some 110 miles later! I, personally, wont be doing the full 110 mile cycle ride but will join the team on Sunday morning to complete the final 56 mile leg (if my lungs and legs hold out - currently in training by cycling circa 30 miles per session). Our target is to follow the canal towpaths all the way from Castle Bromwich to finish on the aquaduct at Llangollen. In these difficult financial times, I am fully aware that money isn't freely available but any donation would be greatly appreciated. If you wish to sponsor me then you can do so online by clicking on the image or link below. If you don't like paying online then I have a cancer research sponsorship form that you can be filled in and pay by means of cash or cheques. (see my address below), any question or queries please don't hesitate to ask. Many Thanks in Advance Steve http://www.justgiving.com/twowheelstowales Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Cancer Research UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
