luffy m Posted June 24, 2010 Report Posted June 24, 2010 Is Bolton le sands like hoylake in that it's only useable at certain times? I had a look at the area on google earth and it looks massive Quote
HOUSE Posted June 25, 2010 Report Posted June 25, 2010 Looks like a day at the beach tomorrow - may even be enough EAST wind for some traction. Anyone else coming along? Quote

mick Posted June 25, 2010 Report Posted June 25, 2010 Yep my van still stinks. Or is that my wet suit? Quote
HOUSE Posted June 25, 2010 Report Posted June 25, 2010 Lol - you guys are never going to forget that session There will be too many grockles around to go to Skeg and not back again....... We shall just have to pootle around at North End. Let's hope there's enough wind to haul the G18 around - I tried last weekend but got there as the wind disappeared and it did it's giant sleeping bag impression Quote
popeyethewelder Posted June 26, 2010 Author Report Posted June 26, 2010 Well, I am guessing you lucky sods had a great time 20+mph ESE...looked perfect...I on the other hand was in my garage making two buggies and looking after the wife...still with a cronky foot...can't wait to hit the beach in anger with some 25+mph winds... BLS is similar tide times to Hoy, but the buggy area is much closer to get to...and yes it is huge and hard...thats sounds a bit rude Quote
HOUSE Posted June 26, 2010 Report Posted June 26, 2010 Well, I am guessing you lucky sods had a great time You'd be right there Carl Really great day - nice hard strip of sand - some brilliant runs - no idea how far or how fast as GPS wouldn't play but must have been around 40 judging by the other guys Nicely knackered now. (Mick and Graham still talking about the van incident............lol ! ) Quote
