oc1rob Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 I have a Bandit13 and am seriously tempted to chop out my 9m waroo to replace it with a similar Delta animal, but funds as they are might need to wait a bit. Would be happy with the Revolt as that has a slightly deeper profile so get going a little earlier wich means in theory I should be good with a 2 kite set up, but would probably still keep my 7m Bull for nuke days (that I am yet to use LOL) Still if anybody wants a 15m Atom RTF, in near new condition, probably only flow less that 10 times and only 4 of those by me.... just make me an offer and you could help me towards a complimentary quiver rather than the mess I usually carry about Quote
twisted weasel Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 our 9m revolt demos up for grabs rob,go on-you know you want too!!!! got our last new 9m revolt on offer as well;) Quote

Corvinus Posted January 14, 2009 Report Posted January 14, 2009 How is everyone finding the upwind on the bandit dos? I dont want people just saying good, i want to hear how they compare to other kites. Quote
Fairy Posted January 14, 2009 Report Posted January 14, 2009 I found it does go upwind very well, even in underpowered conditions :-) Quote

Andy-j Posted January 14, 2009 Report Posted January 14, 2009 has anybody compared it against the new instinct range yet or are we all just gonna rabbit on about how good the dos' is with no decent comparison?? Quote
kitefreek Posted January 14, 2009 Report Posted January 14, 2009 I reckon the bandits and instincts both go up wind. Quote
oc1rob Posted January 14, 2009 Report Posted January 14, 2009 I reckon the bandits and instincts both go up wind. I would speculate that you are probably not wrong in that statement! Quote
L60N Posted January 14, 2009 Report Posted January 14, 2009 Sorry if this is a repost but clicking here -> http://www.banditdos.com/ then clicking "addikt" shows some GREAT footage of the kite, the editing is seriously awesome. At the bottom of the page is "download HD" so you can also save the movie to your desktop in all its HD glory (420mb in total) Quote

Corvinus Posted January 14, 2009 Report Posted January 14, 2009 Back to tha bandit-dos me thinks, it would be good if people could post their experiences on tweaking the kite and what it did. For some unknown reason i prefer flying on the first and third knots from the kite, the second one doesnt seem right :S Quote
GSter Posted January 14, 2009 Author Report Posted January 14, 2009 First knot and line tweaks on the fly work fine for me......as before, makes a huge difference, but will try other knots and combos and return a verdict soon. Quote

Corvinus Posted January 25, 2009 Report Posted January 25, 2009 Managed to get out for a rather wet, muddy and unpredictable session today. Still learning this kite. Suprises me alot I realised that when the winds are strong enough for me to really enjoy boosting high i find myself also quite overpowered when flying, i dont know if this is something that would be remedied by experiementing, its not a bad thing, just when i flew the waroo before, i could overpowered one end of the depower bar travel and the other end in a sunday breeze. Also had a little play with the small line adjustment buckles at the bar end of the back lines, couldnt quite figure out what difference they made to performance appart from making the kite sheet out a little too much and tend to stall when the bar is fully pulled in. Still loving this kite though. Quote
