Stuntman Posted October 3, 2009 Report Posted October 3, 2009 Guys, I am looking at picking up either a crossfire I 5.0m or beamer III 5.0m. The price is good and the kites so close to new its not funny. Whats the best choice (I can't get both ) for buggying, skudding and all - round fun. (I have a 4.0m beamer III) cheers, Shawn Quote

(I have a 4.0m beamer III) cheers, Shawn Hey Shawn, If you have a 4m Beamer III then (depending on the price difference) I would definitely go for the crossfire I. It is the earlier model but I reckon it's better to have variety of kites rather than variety of sizes. Plus there wont be a massive difference between your 4m and 'potential' new 5m Beamer. The Crossfire will be a faster, more responsive, more challenging kite to fly compared to the 'Reliable and stable' Beamer. Hope that helps ... Marty Quote
Stuntman Posted October 4, 2009 Author Report Posted October 4, 2009 Thanks Marty, You've confirmed what I thought. What about a crossfire 7.7. I've shy'ed away from going too big, and thats a big step up from a 5.0 Shawn Quote
JKS Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 Big step indeed mate .... light wind arse hauler ! Medium wind arse puckerer and Strong wind arse spanker I don' t know your exp ... but my guess is to stick with the 5m. you will probably get more use Marty Quote
Stuntman Posted October 4, 2009 Author Report Posted October 4, 2009 Buggy Newb. I just spent the last hour playing with buggy at the park (just a block away from where I live ). Wind ESE and gusty from zilch to yehah. Spent some on the ground after hitting the reverse sideways eject - guess I am doing the washing this week - button a couple of times - amusement for locals and the guys playing cricket over the other side Might head down to Stockon where the wind will be smoother. hmm 7.7 sounds like something for a little later. A 5.0 it will be then. Quote
