  3. Guys thanks for the tips! Al the one you had in the shop to buy was no more than 10-12" though? I have made one as you instructed and it is around 18 -24" long but i found it kept coming off the hook is this normal? do I just have to get used to a slight different way of holding the handles?
  4. And I don't mean the one the other half is in when you get home late from the beach;) Just invested in a harness and have made a strop (very proud too) but what length should it be??? I'm sure I'll get a whole host of "it's up to personal preference" type responses, but is there some kind of rule of thumb? Please help? The BFG:)

I can normaly hit 12200 12300 every time with my right and mid 11's with my left, but not so often, little or no flexibility in my left had:rolleyes: . been stuck on 12767 for weeks though and then Sat morn told to put it away by the wife cos the kids were going to use it to play football with and gave it a quick squeeze and up popped 12830:eek: . 10. Hi Adrena1in Taking a rest has got to be the answer, I was stuck on 12700 for a few weeks, then this weekend picked it up for the first time in day and first go got 12800:rolleyes: Going to start some of your tactics soon ie more endurence than just high scores. Has certainly helped in what I wanted it for! I was struggling to keep the left break on when landing and now (unless its blowing a gale) a manage it most times! Whats you high score currently?
  11. Looking for those experienced ones (are you called Wallopers) to answer a few Q's What camping facilities are there going to be there?? Electric, showers, water, beer tent etc etc (like a few home comforts;) ) Seen all threads about insurance I guess its a must have (even for us newbies that keep are feet on the floor..... no wheels yet?) But it sound as though you can get it sorted there. What info will you need to take it out. Reccy flying???? OK too?
  12. Have tried to feed it back in but not much luck:confused: the line around the area seems ok. Am i now left with a weak point?

  20. Thanks Nobby, Have flown with them again since, and no probs as yet, but it was in very light winds so I'm guessing not under tooooo much tension? Is the line likely to go BANG when least expected?
  21. Oh yeah, it looks like a small fray, but coming out of the line?
  22. Thanks guys, It's on the main lines. as for size??? no more than 7-8 mm so v small. Shall I just leave it or should I try to do anything about it?
  23. Hi Guys, Need a bit of advice, while setting up yesterday I noticed a bit of what can only be described as a rupture in the line? These have only be used twice for about an hour. They are ozone lines. Do I need to change them? How has this happened? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. The BFG

    Wind

Allmad I'm new to this too, went out on Saturday with some guys that knew their stuff, great advice. I've got a 3m kite wind was gusting up to 25 (sometimes higher) and it scared the sh1t out of me. I've got a good few pounds on you and it was all I could do to hold on:eek: . Didn't take me long to work out that anything under 15mph is where I should be flying at the moment! One of the guys there had a 4.9III and he was sure there was only one place for that kite................ in the bag! Got to say though.............. this is going to be fun;)
  25. Hi Guys Thanks for all the help from you seasoned pros! But even I had worked out it was toooooooooooo much even for a big bugger like me! Had great fun with my son's Imp though . I'll stick with that until this NE drops a bit. See you all there again soon The BFG Wayne
