How did you manage to post such big photos?

I am in Worcester, in the West Midlands. There really doesn't seem to be anyone who flies regularly here! And the only people I have seen in the past have foils, mostly Flexifoils.

No reason, and I am not counting them out either. Just wanted to learn more about the differences between foils and Arcs. I guess depower is depower no matter what shape the kite its, right? Is "Arc" the right name for kites like the Phantom, Bomba etc...? Who makes the Rookie2?

Thanks for the answers so far. As an added point, am I right in thinking that Arcs are only used with bars? Are they all depowerable? Having only ever used handles, am I likely to struggle?

Not sure if I have the terminology right but.... Can you give me an idea of the main differences (apart from the obvious shape!) between the likes of the Flexifoil Blade/Bullet and the likes of the Bomba, Guerilla, Phantom etc. Also, there a poll on which are best for landboarding.

I am also a naturally Goofy rider and found riding standard to be difficult at first. Practise riding right to left and you will soon get it. I haven't been riding long but can now go both ways equally badly!

I voted 10-15, although it feels a lot higher!! How high are standard goal posts as I could jump them in the right wind, no problem!

I bought a 4.5m Bullet from Maxy-c which turned our to fly poorly. Not reaching the zenith and not inflating consistently. Although it didn't pull to one side I did notice a crease in the centre appear when turning hard. I had a good look at the kite and realised that the cross brace had come undone a little way, so I sent it to Flexifoil. They had a look at it and fixed it for free under the warranty. They also test flew it and decided that the bridles had stretched so they corrected that problem as well! Now it flys like new, all I have to do is decide whether or not I prefer it to my 4m Blade III!

Steering upwind hard? Is that the way to bring on a power slide?

Some times I want to be able to slow down, even stop my board. Besides using the kite killers and falling off what is the quickest way of doing this? Before anyone suggests it, I am not a big girl!
