  1. Hello Kiters, Does anyone have a 12m Ozone Catalyst for sale by any chance? Looking to buy one but don't have the funds for a new one right now... Rob
  2. Hey dude, is the 12m still for sale? Mucho interested!
  3. If anyone is stuck for something to do this May and fancies the idea of an action packed snowkiting trip to the Langjokull Glacier then you're looking at the right post. There is a small group of us heading out there from May the 18th to the 25th and we have a few spaces left. Check out snowkiter.co.uk or facebook.com/snowkiter for more info, or just send me a PM... Rob
  4. 18th to 25th May 2012. We have about six places left for those interest in coming! The Langjokull glacier has seen plenty of snow this winter and conditions look awesome. Check out Kieron's video if you want to get a bit of a feel for snowkiting in Iceland: Snowkiter - Snowkiting Video Movie
  5. Due to a cancellation we have two places left for a trip to the Langjokull Glacier in Iceland, arguably one of the best snowkiting locations on the planet! Anyone want to join us from the 13th - 21st May?
  6. I think freeride snowboarding is actually harder than snowkiting, in terms of the board control at least. Snowkiting is 75% kite, 25% board I reckon.
  7. A rare occurrence in London, a day of snowkiting. 15mph winds and 8 inches of powder, nice! Just posted a short video from today on our facebook group, check it out: Snowkiter - Icelandic Kiting Adventures | Facebook [and don't forget to add a 'like' to the group!] Rob
  8. Hi, I need some help in finding some kite instructors willing to help out with teaching some disabled persons how to fly a kite. The training is actually the first step toward taking part in a snowkite crossing of a glacier, and the participants are all extremely committed athletes. Because they are paraplegic the training would most likely involve just sitting in a buggy and static flying the kite to get to grips with handling a foil. I am aware that there is such a thing as a buggy which is specially adapted for disabled use, but this is not totally necessary at this stage. The most important thing is finding some instructors who are local to the participants. Locations where we are looking for instructors: St Neots Cambridgeshire Canada - Kimberley , British Columbia over the summer Ampthill Bedfordshire Bangor - County Down in N Ireland or Co Sligo in the Republic of Ireland Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! 9. Drop us an email, a pm, or a call, and I can give you all the details: robert@ snowkiter.co.uk 0797 055 7818
  10. I urgently want to get my hands on an Ozone Access 6m! I need it to fill a hole in my quiver before a trip next month. I'd actually prefer one of the older ones, but otherwise not fussy. Anyone?!
  11. Take a look at the most recent pictures on the news, in hindsight we might have been pretty dumb getting so close, lighting cigarettes from the lava and stuff...
  12. Fortunately the Volcano in Iceland is on a different one to where we go Snowkiting, but still we couldn't resist taking the jeep over to have a look a couple of weeks ago. Next month, May, we have a snowkiting trip to the Langjokul glacier, for a week of perfect winds and a thousand kilometres square of powder snow. Oh, and if you're lucky a chance to take a drive to visit a volcano... A once in a lifetime opportunity, don't miss out! 13. Lol, what are you saying about my shortcuts? Actually thinking of heading out there this weekend to check out the fireworks. There is wind so might even snowkite up there to see it!
  14. Check out the Volcanic eruption in Iceland: „Líkt og kvikni í ísnum“ - mbl.is If the eruption continues we will be organising a visit to the eruption site on the weekend following our trip (which fortunately on another glacier!) When will you ever get the chance to see a Volcano again? Another great reason to BOOK THIS TRIP NOW! Rob
  15. It's not too late to book! email me or let me know your number and I'll give you a call with all of the details... Rob robert@snowkiter.co.uk
  16. I agree, why bother. The lake is tiny and you may as well just enjoy the great downhill that Tignes has to offer.
  17. Wait until May and come to Iceland! We have IKO instructors available and can tailor the teaching for what level you need. Check out our post: http://forum.kitecrowd.com/snowkiting/who-wants-go-snowkiting-iceland-177559.html Rob
  18. Buy me please! My owner would like to upgrade to some Ozone Edge!
  19. Seven confirmed for May and a few spaces still left! We can arrange for stage payments too if you need - you can pay a deposit of £100 using Paypal, and the rest nearer the time of the trip.
  20. btw, I think the prices are pretty good already, and I'm including postage, therefore no offers accepted! The price is the price I'm afraid!
