  1. Are you sure?, after all this guy is learning. IMHO - You can spend less time worrying where the kite is in the sky with depowerables which means you and can concentrate better on your boarding skills.
  2. I agree with the bateman on this one as the sabre will give you a much bigger wind range. The sabre will be more expensive to buy than the blade plus to get the most out of it you will also need a harness which will add more expense. There are a few other de-powerable foils available (access/frenzy), so it may be worth you trying some others before you part with your cash. Good luck, Sav.
  3. Cheers Batho_777, I've flown with the guys from Mission in brixham before but due to my shift pattern I can only fly on certain days. I also fly at the sports field at goodrington but I was just getting lonely
  4. Anyone?
  5. Anyone up for a bit of land based flying in or around Torquay and Paignton. I can do all day Wednesday/Thursdays/Fridays as I work shifts the rest of the time. I have become tired of my own company! Plus I need to improve my skills !

  8. Cheers for the input, ended up getting a trampa instead and I'm well pleased with it. Sav
  9. Just recieved a set of brand new Rockstar hubs, however, when I gently roll them across my table on the rims with no tyres they roll forward and then back slightly and then settle indicating they are not perfectly round. Could someone tell me if this is normal for a £48 set of wheels?
  10. Just do a search for 'garmin foretrex' on the forum and you will find plenty of info and opinion on which gps is the best. Cheers, Sav.
  11. Nearly bought a new mbs comp 16 pro but stopped when it said rider weight upper limit to be 200lbs. I weigh 210lbs so can anyone out there with a similar weight tell me what they are riding before I part with some cash. Cheers, Sav.
  12. Cheers for the info. Ok, while we are on the subject I have another question, will flexifoil extra wide tyres fit onto libre vmax wheels?? Thanks in advance. Sav.
  13. Thinking of going for a libre v-max but want to know will my flexi wide wheels fit on the standard v-max without modification?? Will I need new forks etc. Regards, Sav.
  14. this is a long shot............ I have lost a rear wheel bearing protection cap for my flexi bug Anyone have one for sale or any suggestions of what can be used as a suitable substitute. Regards, Sav.
  15. Keep the advice coming. I’ve had my Blade 3 3.0m for 4 wks now and my first two attempts at flying were pathetic, I’d read magazines, books, visited forums and felt sure I knew enough to get up in the air. However all I had were tangled lines and a very unimpressed 5 yr old (who I managed to convince that the problem was the wind and not meJ) A long wait for some wind and I tried again but to my dismay when I arrived at Clennon Valley there was already someone flying and I thought this could be embarrassing. I am too shy too ask for help as some so-called ‘experts’ look down at the newbie seeming to forget what they once were. While I was setting up the guy came over and we started talking and he gave me some advice, hints and tips and taught me some basic moves. My point is : Please don’t stop giving us newbies help and advice the majority of us will listen to and need to hear what is being said. Big Thanks to Darren the Welshman from Paignton, and thanks to the rest of you who contribute advice for newbies on this forum.
