  1. I am lucky enough to have a dad who teaches people to paint cars, and even he had a nightmare spraying my trampa. Took him 2 attempts to get the paint to hold, i think he ended up talking to a guys who painted the carbon fibre kits on racing cars to sort it out. Same as loki mine is starting to chip, especial on nearside edge where the bottom of my shoes hit the corner as i hop on. Maybe if you did a sticker you could stick a clear sheet of sticky stuff over the top to stop the corners of the sticker pealing? Hope this helps, Matt.
  2. I ended up at port meadow and covered in all manner of excrement, still, the rough terrain made a change.
  3. Hi there Carl. Try and get yourself down to Horsepath over the weekends, theres a good friendly bunch of us that fly there. Us boarders will have to make sure we get to you first, lest you be lured to he dark side of buggyin! Matt
  4. I love my 05 frenzies, sure they took a while to learn how to fly inland and i have sworn at them more than once (especially the 12 in low wind), but i wouldnt be without them now. I came from a blade 6.6 and a buster 4 onto a 10m frenzy 03, now that was a beast in the gusts! Tbh i got the similar arc good frenzt bad argument when i was looking at upgrading to the 05s, but in the end i just wanted to unpack and fly and didnt fancy all that infaltion / landing kuffuffle. Any way, best bet is to get a fly on some to see how they feel. Oh and listen to Spooky, he knows whats hes talking about, hes just not allowed to fly my kites any more
  5. classic, never get board of watching this one....
  6. Wish there was a kite club while i was there! The juggling club still going? Used to help run that back in the day....
  7. Big thanks to the Odds ( i am assuming thats you ) for the pointers today. Gotta throw those frenzy's back sharpish like! Matt

    ressssiiiit muuuust reessssiisssssst
  9. When i was learning to windsurf i was told that if i was traveling with my right hand forward i had the right of way. Is this accepted in landboarding also? I was also told that downwind must give way to upwind, which makes sense as its easier to bail down wind, as if you are proper powered up your not able to bail up wind! Im sure there was also something about overtaking ppl giving way. Interesting as im sure these "rules of the road" have been written in stone for sailing ships for years, just not sure if we have taken them on board?
  10. Good choice
  11. Bearing have now been flushed with GT85 which removed a lot of ****, then packed with Weldtight Lithium grease which got everywhere. Wheels are much much better now, but will probably try and contact Mad Andy to get a spare set anyway. Next question: When i tigheted the wheel nuts up the wheels slow down and dont spin as fast anymore, how do i tell how tight to do the nuts up? Thanks in advance, Matt.
  12. Thanks for all the help, im going to avoid the 38 squids for new stainless bearing and try out a lube flush and grease repack. Sounds both rude and messy
  13. Dont fly at the coast much (at all), but as i was on holiday in Gower I thought it would be rude not to visit a beach. Now my bearings appear to be oozing rust! This leads me to 2 questions: 1) Can i re-"something" my bearings so the wheels turn again? 2) How do you guys who fly on the beach regularly and not destroy your kit within weeks? I want to like sand, but at the moment grass is getting all the loving (especialy now its been mowed)...... Matt
  14. init, on my way up now for a few hours. hope i remember how to fly!
  15. Hello! Hoping to be back from the wilderness soon, new sleep burgler permitting.....
  16. PS3 will be the same as ps2, a complete nightmare to write games for. Developers will be porting games from pc to xbox from the start. Ps3 developers will be tearing there hair out from the start, and may get some decent games developed by 2007.

    PC Games??

Single Player, in this order: FPS: Half Life 2 > Call of Duty 2 > Far Cry > Quake 4 > FEAR RTS: Dawn of War > C&C: Generals > Warcraft Multplayer: Quake 3 > UT2k4 > Quake 4 Everyone else lies!
  18. pmsl you just made my day Oh, played call of duty 2 in virgin last weekend, nice for a console, still not close to my pc though. Oh well, they promised next gen consoles would eclipse pc's, but tbh they lied. Cheap pc alternative init?
  19. Im now three weeks into giving up the fags. Its not the first time I've tried, but this time it seems more serious than the others for some reason. In the past i have had a lot of difficulty giving up due to the other stuff. It used to be hash, i always wanted a spliff so couldnt stop it, but i got bored of weed at about 28 and stopped (4 years or so ago). Since then its been beer, going out most nights and getting a bit drunk makes it hard to stop, especially when a lot of ur mates smoke. Recently ive started to become aware im not as young as i used to be (32 now), and i hate the hold that fags (and beer a well) have over me. For me the two things are still bound together. On the plus side i have spent bugger all money in the last few weeks, as i really cant abide the idea of going to the pub any more. I cant deny its driving me bloody nutty, and if it hadnt been for the combination of nicotine gum and a large portion of video games (quake 4 + call of duty 2 + fear) i would have gone stur crazy by now. Gizmo, hang in there, we have to kick this thing, its an incidious fkin drug, and i really wanna be rid of the hold it has over me. Matt
  20. Im sure you would be able to pick up a second handy frenzy for that, 9.5m 03 versions going for around 300?, though not the easiest kite to fly, i sold mine and moved to 05s. Maybe bide your time and look to pick up a second hand 04 / 05?
  21. My advice would be: Forget trying to use what you have already have and just buy a wireless adsl router that will do everything in one box. Keep it simple. My 2 pence. http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?code=107948&partner=register
  22. Yr got a couple, including a fire one Tbh i wouldnt go for an LED one straight away, they are not as nice to practice with. You can get a pretty bog standard one for around 15 squids, but if you want the dogs danglies go for an AJA, these are the only ones i'll buy now, fantastic devil sticks. Here is a good selection: http://www.oddballs.co.uk/acatalog/Devil_Sticks.html Devil stick is a lot of fun, but one of the harder props i've learned so dont get to frustrated and stick at it. It would also be a good idea to buy a book to help you with the tricks. http://www.oddballs.co.uk/acatalog/Miscellaneous_Books.html hf & gl
  23. I went from a 4m buster to a 10m frenzy 03, then onto the frenzy 05's. Luckily i had very helpful local flyer to point me in the right direction, and give me a fly on his kites. If your sensible you should be fine with a frenzy, they are very easy to wop out and get flying, arcs can be a bit more tricky?

    Quake 4

Well, its had its first outing tonight and im a bit unsure. They have added a delay to the rail gun and rocket launcher which is going to take some getting used to. It plays feels more like the recent ut releases, but with quake style movement. Tbh though, we still only have vanilla dm and ctf. Bring on ra4 and fourwave ctf!
