I was like you. I had flown super 10's for a number of years, then wanted to get into four line traction kites. I went straigth for the 4.9 and I know I will never get bored of it like some of the smaller ones. My advice is to take a kite like this out in a gnats chuff of wind for the first few outings to get the feel of it and to find out what it is capable of. If you do not treat it with great respect, it could do you, or someone else, some seriouse harm. Don't do what I did on my first outing. Lauched it right in the middle of the wind on a windy day! 10m sprint, followed by about 4-5 feet of very uncontrolled air, followed by a big thud!Packed up and went home straight away to put on some clean boxers. Seriously, It scared the crap out of me. From that day on, it was treated with great respect. Build up confidence slowly, and don't be tempted to get it out on days with more wind than you can handle.
Hope this helps
