  1. andy, just saw the thread, I got a access 2 8M a couple of years ago, its in my quiver and a very good kite, suitable for over 20mph, although you have a kite now, its worth keeping your eye out on ebay etc. I had poor response from PKSF in getting response, never mind insurance, took less than a week with BKSA so would use them every time. PKSF website seems years out of date too! Just waned to say the good thing about the access is its a depower, but also has an adjustable shackle to even more adjust the range of the kite.
  2. Your right, I should check the tides, but I did know it was on shore, so up and down was not a problem. Its just that you cant seemed to get as far as I remember
  3. You might be as well with a small trailer with clamps on top to carry the buggys and then all your gear can go inside?

    Annoyance

This is the rules of karma, you will be pleased to know that somewhere int he world someone was having a good, day when you next have a good day, feel sorry for someone else....!!
  5. Hi all, been a few years since i went, but decided to get all the necessary to fly at ainsdale again this year, got everything in place and went last weekend. Wind was ok and chose wrong time to go as the tise was high, but there was very little space up and down, until you get to the middle fence, went past this once and a bit further on to the far fence, but wind was at a bit of an angle here so not so good. But have to say I didnt think it worth all the hassle of getting the red tape. Also found a warden following me, bear in mind there was 10M of beach he asked me to not fly my kite over the dog walk, 6ft to my right, was, the sea..... Are they real?
  6. Jamie sorry for the delay. Can you tell me what waist you are and how the fit was when you got it? Mine is a large bt it spins round now. can do paypal. Let me know and I will let you know my address. 07813792783 steve
  7. Hi, looking for a new seat harness as my dakine is too large I think, lost loads of weight and it rides around when I turn in the bug! How much are youlooking for? what payment methods can be used? steve
  8. thanks all, I think there maybe health and safety issues with a mankini riding up with a harness!!
  9. Hi, thansk for your post. I think its the mk11, I did a bit or research and think I saw what would be a mk1 on the net. It appears they are hard to get hold of, I tried to order this from online kites, they rang back to say they couldnt get one, got mine through powerkite shop who had to get it from germany. It seems pretty sturdy certainly more so than my radsail which is tin in comparison. The bearings look pretty stocky but I know what you mean about stainless. I will not be getting into anything as serious as jumping, not on purpose anyhow, to be honest its getting the chance to get out there, i am hanging on to this hobby, I see too many people sell all their stuff because they cannot find the time, I think thats unfortunate. I am hoping to go to ainsdale tomorrow, weather should hold up until lunch time.
  10. Guys, been out of the buggy scene for a couple of years, saw a few guys at mablethorpe, just wondered what you wear? Looks like a kind of lighter motorbike suit? jacket and trousers. I have tried the all in one dry biker suit but to be honest its a sweat bag? What do you wear, obviously its water proof and warm?
  11. Hi all not been here fro a while. I have finally given op on my radsil buggy, its been good but have used 3 seats up, last one finally gave way the other week at mablethorpe. Also realised i needed a more serious vehicle as I was being left for dead! Couldnt afford a huge big bug, so got myself a peter lynn folding buggy with wide wheels option, it looks a nice piece of kit, have to take the wheels of the back to make it fold anything reasonably small but should fit in the back of the corsa. Hoping to go to ainsdale this friday weather looks like it will be changing about midday from then on. Anyone any expeience of these bugs, and are radsails the only ones which suffered seat fallin apart?

    Viper?

your correct, was the original post after flexi info, Or have I missed the boat, I didnt know there was a peter lynn!!!!

    Viper?

I have a couple of vipers, when I got into buggys its the best I could afford to ensure I got a low lift kite. I have a 2m which I flown at ainsdale and it took me all the way to the limit of the beach and back a few times, excellent day, yes it is noisy, its the one you can hear 2 miles away, but not when its pulling I have to say. Also i have an orange 5M which is excellent, sometimes its the only kite i get out and flew it in france last year on holiday the whole time, was a waste of time taking the others, generally in clean 20mph winds and it was a dream, and no lift whatsoever, weird. The best thing about these kites is the turbo boost, want to go a bit faster? just pull on the brakes a little and feel the acceleration it gets a smile every time. Only thing is the damn things can be hard to land, best thing to do is keep flying until your knackered then let go and let the kite killers land it. There are usually some around on ebay and I got my 5M for £80 which for a great buggy engine is fab, and yes its out of date, but 2-300 pounds less for a couple of years get a vote from me. I have an access now but cant bear to sell the viper. They fly vey similar to skytigers, as in the brake effect etc but are longer and thinner. The 6.5 would be a brute but they can set up this wobble and I think the 6.5 might wobble a lot until its pulling, and it would certainly pull. I got my viper which the original flexi lines but they are very elastic, so I put the new lies on and transformed the kite and its quite quick handling now for its shape.
  14. Carl, your stuff looks so good, just tell any copper you bought it at a towbar shop...!!
  15. HI all, well went down at the weekend, or is it up? Driving was horrendous on friday night, nottingham is a **** place to get from on a friday... Camped at the site at mablethorpe well recommended. And yes although my childhood seaside haunts, its easy to think that cleethorpes and mablethorpe are near each other however its 25 miles of twisty lincs roads so about 50 mins and 1000 miles less rubber. Had a go on the beach at cleethorpes spoke to a couple of kite surfers who were very helpfull, if I had more time i would have maybe tried the beach at mablethopre but had to be back for family duties...
