    I dont recall all the details but a young teenager (12-16 ish) in my hometown was bought a minimoto for his birthday. Him and his mates were riding it on the road doing laps of his block but unfortunately he hit a car head on going round a corner. Not a nice way to go but I wouldn't want to be the driver in that situation. Thing is, it's a brilliant sport when you get into it and do it properly, it's just not supposed to be done on the street or in a park. As for banning bikes, can't see it happening. The reason above is exactly why I don't buy MCN anymore, if I want made up news I can do that myself

    Sorry, I don't think you can get a bargain helmet. My motorbike one was £400 but if I ever come to need it I'll be glad I got the best I could afford. For the price of kites I think you should try and stretch to the best you can afford IMHO.

    My one concern about them was that they didn't look like they'd last very long because of the material they're made out of. Are they more rugged than they look?

    I too have a fusion. I spent about two hours in airbossworld and they let me try almost every single harness on in all different sizes, they also had a rope attached to the ceiling so you could get a better feel of what it was like with a bit of force on it. I was shocked how much different harnesses varied in fit and comfort. I have to say the only way to get a good fit is to try them on. Having said that, the fusion is a very nice harness with a lot of adjustment so you can move the spreader around a bit but it also costs a fair bit more than most others. The difference between medium and large was pretty noticeable as well so getting the right size is pretty vital.

    There's a couple of people in the motorbike club at Loughborough with kites, have a word at the freshers bazaar. We usually go to a field just of the A6, cant remember the name unfortunately but its not walking distance from campus. Hope that helps
