Sorry to hear you are closing down Climb8, I have bought stuff from you way in the past. You are a responsible kite shop owner from the talks I have had with you in the past.
As far as kiting on the mid wales coast, this is bad news, however there are rules to the imposition to byelaws i.e. a full hearing and right to appeal. BUT that means only the people who hate kiting full stop will attend.
I have been kiting that area a very long time, way before the popularity it has now. A outright ban? it comes as no suprise as some elements within the kiting fraternity haven't helped the cause at all, mainly because they couldn't be bothered to walk/drive further away from the main crowds BRS is a class example.
I will continue to kite mainly because the harbour master is never seen where I go, secondly they'll have to post that byelaw every 50yds of my flying location in its full format (as they rightly should do), because if you don't know a law how can you adhere to it.
So there it is the end possibly for kiting for me as nowhere left to go, unless I apply for the above post of course ......and beig a health and safety advisor I can provide them with the risk assessments
