  1. Sorry to hear you are closing down Climb8, I have bought stuff from you way in the past. You are a responsible kite shop owner from the talks I have had with you in the past. As far as kiting on the mid wales coast, this is bad news, however there are rules to the imposition to byelaws i.e. a full hearing and right to appeal. BUT that means only the people who hate kiting full stop will attend. I have been kiting that area a very long time, way before the popularity it has now. A outright ban? it comes as no suprise as some elements within the kiting fraternity haven't helped the cause at all, mainly because they couldn't be bothered to walk/drive further away from the main crowds BRS is a class example. I will continue to kite mainly because the harbour master is never seen where I go, secondly they'll have to post that byelaw every 50yds of my flying location in its full format (as they rightly should do), because if you don't know a law how can you adhere to it. So there it is the end possibly for kiting for me as nowhere left to go, unless I apply for the above post of course ......and beig a health and safety advisor I can provide them with the risk assessments
  2. Sorry didn't you get my joke, don't want you to get upset or anything, and send me a PM. Lots of love, your loving Sturmovik
  3. Are you sure you've spelt that correctly? Happy to see you have retain your generous spirit and well developed sarcasm spiritflier, all that time in Hollyoaks has made you into such a fine simian and its good that you manage your qualified trauma. If you only really new the true Zonad, a fine upstanding punk he was before his untimely demise. XMAS WISHES. Sacrifice the humbugs and burn them in the wickerman, especially the nonbelievers and non druids.
  4. I am not a hippy I am a ZONAD....ha ha aha ha ha scarifice the humbugs
  5. Not me I'm 1000ft up a hill, an island in a sea of clouds, mist is flowing over the col like an ethereal waterfall and in the winter sunshine I can see the peaks of Snowdon over 36miles away. Beautiful, who needs xmas presents
  6. I totally second that Tool where amazing and so is the album,
  7. Synthesized music by an electronic pulse (created by switches) sent to a speaker or amplifier instead of traditional percussive, stringed or wind instruments??? Kraftwerk where the first truely synthesized music group, all others used traditional guitars etc. with early oscilators n stuff. Kraftwerks seminal 'Autobahn' really kicked it off for the likes of J M Jarre, Oldfield etc, even earlier you had the Grateful Dead in the sixties but they still used normal drums and guitars. If that answers your question try looking at 'Trans Europe Express' for some cracking samples to nick and ask Rebble for the entire vinyl collection from that period, and the computer will say noooooooo!
  8. Vote for your favourite xmas carol mine has to be 'Good King Wenslas' especialy the fuuuuuoooooooooeeeeeeeeellllllll bit, always gives me a christmassy feeling:D
  9. happy christmas! now learn jingle bells thats pretty easy, happy playing.
  10. Damn! My stone circle must have subsidence! It takes along time to roast an ox don't you know, and druids do like prepare early. Yule tide happiness doz!
  11. Oh try tooting, a short blast, a little rift start mid point inhale wilst sightly opening your mouth (bending the note) gets three short blast one note down, repeat, very effective if done right. I'll go get my collection, incidently I can get some wicked riffs out my little lads early learning centre harmonica eeeeeeeeeooooooooowww wow ow wow.
  12. On this most ancient of celtic festivals (coming soon to you all, on the 22nd but who believes the gregorian calendar when you have so much to do...sacrifices to prepare, sprucing up the mistletoe, washing robes, sharpening your axe, tuning the gongs and drums etc etc etc) I wish you all a happy feast from the cauldron of life and be reborn in the winter sun. Traditionally a time for feasting and lovemaking (so your babies can be born at the time of harvest and maximum warmth), be happy and make peace with your gods and enemies. Sing songs of lost comrades with your tribe gathered close in your hallowed halls. All hail the wind warriors far and wide! May the wind blow favourably and zephyrs carry your chariots fast and true! Join me now and raise your banners and tankards calling on the return of spring! Happy Christmas wishing to you all peace and joy for the coming year, and spare a thought for children all over the world who never see a kite, let alone own one. The average price of a kite in the UK can feed whole villages for a year. We are all very lucky indeed. Sturmovik
  13. I can play 'dirty old town' by the pogues and do some nice blues rifts, you have to 'tongue' the notes (not easy). To bend a note keep lips in place and open mouth at the same time. Does that make sense? It sounds rude to me. Try at first going up and down the scale and practise practise practise.
  14. They missed mini rocket air rifle wars (with hunting pellets; ow!!!), oh and making our own gunpowder until one of us burn't a hole through his bedroom floor whilst his parents where out. Honourable mention should go to falling off the froncysstlle aqueduct (the highest in uk) whilst ****** and surviving. Ah the heady days of teenage life, how fleeting they are.

With great shock to hear of the passing of Leytoncheeses, he always had a friendly word for me, without doubt a thoroughly decent chap. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends.
  17. You mean the 70's and well done for exploring the musical roots of Britain:D
  18. I can't agree that all Chilli's songs sound the same simply look at 'Give it away' then 'Roadtrippin', this reflects through all their albums as different as chalk and cheese biscuits. On Jools Holland they sounded terrible and not like live performances of the past.(I've seen them a number of times, notably at big day out in glasgow, though headlining they where out shone by QOTSA (still with Nick Oliveri then), Foo Fighters and even Electric Six The Chilli's if anything suffer from varying quality of material from the outstanding to mediocre at best within their albums, the best has to be Blood Sugar Sex Magic, though Stadium Arcadium shows a return to form, but a double album.....is this a trend started by Mr. D Grohl with in 'In Your Honour' Go see TOOL, you will not forget or regret my hard rockin' amigos!
  19. I wasn't dreaming then, they where that good. Thats a relief
  20. Woooo went to see Tool live in Manchester, and apart from blagging the security to access the standing area by a bit of creative origami i.e. Making wrist bands from a pamphlet and some rizla, wait for a busy time follow large group and wehay we are in!!! then blagging the pub to let us in and then gatecrashing someones house party afterwards which is enough to say the night was blessed by the god of wine himself, I still ride on the euphoria of what was one of the best live shows I have seen, which has to be said is an acolade after all the bands I've seen. To top it all off the new cd is top b******s and blowing the speakers in my old motor..... If you like them they tour again next summer, if you never heard of them go see and enjoy:D
  21. That is part of the local byelaw regs the council must display clearly restrictions in place e.g. no ball games, no breathing etc. Incidently the government intends to waive the need to consult with parliment before it places a byelaw on certain activities so we are all stuffed, because councils tend to be reactionary and reactive and I have never seen the correct procedure of consultation take place its simply enforced before anyone even knows about it. I don't agree with the statement made on another post that all kiters a good nice people, most are, but some seem to have a 'Get out of my way and everyone see how cool I am riding through the bathers' but I moaned on about visitors to my kite spot enough, with very little reaction, but there you are.
  22. Queens of the Stone Age especially 'Songs for the Deaf'..... arh fun fun times Slipknot 'Before I Forget' awesome live band. Going to see Mastodon and Tool very soon. I'm a lot older than thee, and my metal goes from strength to strength, go see Motorhead it'll wake you to all that madness that you miss, make sure you get right in the middle of the pit!
  23. Looks like I'm the only one busting a gut to stay flying, I must be doing something wrong. 'Tip of the Day' Driver should use window of vehicle to look out of whilst in motion. hohhohohohohohoho!
  24. New kites for Xmas!!!! Man, somebody must love you guys or you've been very, very, very good. or You have photographs of a sensitive nature. Hehehehehehehehehehehehehe ..........................pong!.
  25. I have an original early flexifoil buggy, the first they mass produced, just have to bolt it all together again. I think it was called the Flexifoil Sport, I remember trying to get a new seat for the uncomfortable thing it was and was told how dangerous it was by Flexifoil guy on the phone, and to buy a new one. God it used to hurt my back after six hours of riding!
