  8. Hello everyone, The Travel Channel filmed our SOBB event in September. They covered the gear and the riders. Here is a look at Sunset Beach where most of our kiting goes down. Gabe http://www.quadlinekites.com/images/Travel_Gear_Traction_Kites.wmv
  9. I do wear helmets, not as much as i should though. heres a video full of helmet wearing. LOL http://www.kiteatb.co.uk/_gallery/gabe the SBBB video
  10. hello all, saw this thread and wanted to add my 2 cents. kite loops are possible on landboards. i know of 2 riders in the states able to land them both forward and backward (kiteloop,downloop-everyone has a different name). knee pads, hip pads, helmets and elbow pads are always a good idea. In order to get hangtime/heighth to get over the kite you have to jump off of something. Difficult to do backloops on an atb because of lack of traction for pop, therefore on sand you have to make up for it with speed. If you can't stick these on the water your not ready. Great if you land them, extremely painful if you don't. Im not sure if the thrill is worth the price?
  11. cover the airfare trebor and i'll be right over....
  12. i have to agree with alex that style is the most important aspect. being able to link together multiple tricks is key. I haven't seen any of the listed riders ride in person so i have no idea who is king. Everyone knows seeing it live is a whole different experience.

  14. Hello again, Anyone have any constructive or destructive comments for my vids? I know I should have a helmet but besides that. I try not to show too many crashes so i don't shy people away from the sport. Rasga I couldn't get the video to upload to my gallery here you can throw it up if you like. May the wind blow in your general direction Gabe
  15. Hey blokes, Glad you liked the vids. The wind on the desert is very punchy and tends to drop you out of the sky. The majority of the video I was flying a V4 14m while Eli was on a 9 or 12 frenzy 04. I also flew my 18m and 30m in the evenings. The buggiers were on 2-5m foils except kenny and the powerkite shop guys who took 4.9 blades out in 30mph. Im working on getting more newer footage and releasing a DVD. Happy Kiting, Gabe
  16. Hey Fellas, Great meeting you all in the desert. sux we got rained out, but it was good while it lasted. you can check out my Dry Lake Bed vid HERE and you can also check out photos of the event HERE. Have a good one and I hope to make it to the UK one of these days.... Gabe
