    9m Rookie II

not sure what it's worth, tbh... if it goes onto ebay, I'm thinking of a reserve price around £200...

    9m Rookie II

Rather reluctantly, I'm selling my Rookie II... Never have had the use out of it - in fact I can probably count the number of times I've used it on two hands... It's the 9m GE in gold - and still feels crispy-new. I've fitted the line extensions on it, and it's all complete and ready to go. I've got one - slightly small pic... alas, the weathers not been good for getting anything better... I'm looking for a goods price on this, as it really is a top kite, and still in perfect nick, so email/pm with questions/offers Failing that - it's ebay lol http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=366040&id=689336225

    Withernsea

    sorry - sneaky bump
  5. I have to be somewhere near Withernsea toward the end of the week - and yes, I know it's just down the coast from Bridlington, but with time constraints may not make it that far up... whats the beach at Withernsea like, and is anyone likely to be around - probably friday?

    overflying...

mostly, yes, but it happens regardless of how the trim strap is adjusted... .. also, when I pull the bar in more than half way, the kite seems to stall and lose all power...
  7. well, today was the first proper outing with my 9m rookie. Its been out a couple of times in light wind (sub 8mph) but today was a good (mostly) solid 12 - 13 mph, which was more than plenty for now, however I've noticed a tendency for the kite to overfly at the zenith, and then fold up on itself and float to the gound (or occasionaly, power up again right in th4e middle of the window) I'm flying with the extension lines, and have tried varying settings with the trim, to no avail.. Any clues? I also noticed a tendency to behave similarly at the edge of the windowm making it difficult to lock the kite in place to power the board.. noticibly worse on the right hand side... cheers in advance Nick
  8. feelin' kinda similar... been looking to get out and see where you fly, but for one reason or another, not been able to.. and now, with it looking like I'll be having most of next week of work, how ****e do the winds look?
  9. especially when it all starts off like it did, and then goes strangely quiet... .... hmmmm
  10. aye, I know it.. might pop along.. see where I end up, lol...
  11. winds looking pretty good, blowing 13/14 at the mo... where you guys off to? was thnking of heading up to rushcliffe, but its quite away, and quite fancy somewhere a bit closer...
  12. not a lot of use in a buggy then, lol...
  13. will be over tomorrow afternoon (winds permitting) if anyone fancy's a play...
  14. so, do the handles just go straight on in place of the bar then?

  16. Been playing (finally) with my new rookie this evening... have to say, I'm very impressed... For my first depowerable, I'm well chuffed... The winds were quite low, and If they were much lower, I reckon I'd find the bar frustrating (all my kites to date have been on handles) So, wondering if anyone out there has flown the rookie on handles? Its supposed to make quite a difference in very low winds, (sub 5/6 mph) and wondered is it worth a try, does it make much of a difference, and how easy is it to set up... cheers Nick
  17. 's a bit late, but if the weather holds, I may trundle over later today... ...know bugger all about blades really, though.. lol
  18. don't tell her.. she'll never know..
  19. aye, thats the one..
  20. fingers crossed, eh? I'm itching to play with it...
  21. 'fraid so... new it would happen as soon as bought the kite, lol
  22. well, I knew it would happen... ... bought myself a new kite on monday.. and the winds have been frustratingly poor since - either too much for nervous old me, or, as today, bugger all... .. still winds look perfect for tomorrow and sunday... shame its going to **** it down all weekend! hey ho.
  23. considered? no.. never actually heard of them... ...google here i come...
  24. c-quads, eh? I'll look 'em up... anyway.. in a full on test today, with my 2 beamers, a 2m sammy and 2,5 bullet, I have to say my 1.8 beamer behaved better, and gave better performance than both the sammy and the blade.. the 3.6 came out tops - producing fantastic traction whilst the 5 sammy came a poor last... was quite surprised, and worried to admit I may have to try a 2.5 beamer... lol
