Hey Dave I spoke to the farmer this afternoon about the land and he's ploughed it, power harrowed it and is going to be sowing it with grass this week. He said the as soon as the seeds have germinated and the grass is established then we will be able to use it. He also said we are welcome to go and have a look at it whenever we want ...do you facy a trip over there early Wednesday evening ?

Spoke to the farmer yesterday and he said theat the field has been ploughed but it still needs to be power harrowed and rolled. He asked me to call him back in about 10 days. No phone or Broadband at home yet so I can only post messages when I go to my local Starbucks coffee house !! Only 20 more boxes to unpack .... Oh well I'd better get on with it ..Can't wat to get back to work on Monday !!

LOL .....PMSL !!! Keith looks like he's from the looney bin and he's just about to put his straight jacket back on again !!! Looks like you all had a good one and plenty of sight seeing !! Couldn't get out this weekend cos we were packing up the house Dunc how was the Dunstable kite festival ?? Bet you can't wait to get that new U-Turn !! How come it's taking soooo long ?? Dave I'll give the farmer a call this week and see when we can use the field...

Hey Tim do you know where you can fly in Southend ? cos next time I might just take my gear.... You are right about a decent amount of wind, it does always seem to be pretty good down there LOL.... :cool:

Ant's sound like you had a good weekend Was there much wind ? I was going to go out yesterday morning but there seemed to be bugger all wind so we went down to Southend to see family and when we got down there it was really windy !! I knew I hould have taken my gear !! Oh well..... Dunc did you get over to Bunkers yesterday ....?

I got a Foretrex 201 and as said earlier it's a top bit of kit. Also comes with a serial cable so the you can download data to your PC. Highly recommended.....

Oh dear ...not good news about the land I'm afraid.. The farmer rang me yesterday and told me that he had let the gamekeeper know that we would be using the fields after harvest for a few months ...... And guess what ............??? The gamekeeper wasn't keen at all cos it might scare the phesants and as people pay to go on the shoot (a few hundred quid a day !!) it could cause the gamekeeper problems.... :( Oh well he said he would contact me if he knew of any other farmers in the area who would be up for it ......

I won't be able to make it today over at Bunkers or to go and have a look at the land at Bayford .... Sorry Dave Dunc your are more than welcome to use it if you want to on the condition that you don't burst out in tears again !!.... LOL Thanks to Daren I've now got my wide wheels and midi fork sorted :D...... Can't wait to try them out on some big beach somewhere !! Daren when you put your rear tyres on did you take off the camber ??

Yeah it's a real bummer :( but at least we should be able to use his land before he drills the next crop of Wheat I'm still going to continue to look for land... Yeah it's whats left after he's cut the Wheat ... The farmer is going to contact me when he's cut the wheat and we can go over and have a look at it .... I 'm hoping that the stubble won't cause a problem if the kite hits the ground ...we'll have to wait and see

Dunc got your txt msg .... Great news to hear it flies !! At least I haven't wasted my money then !! How did it handle and what's the Ozone bar like. Spoke to Dave and he said you got a bit scared with the power and height of your jumps !! :eek: LOL..... He said that at one point you were so scared you started to cry !!! LOL I can't believe that ....grown man like you ... Thanks for your help in setting it up.... Might try and get out over the weekend and have a quick fly it...

Makka Thanks for the info, I'll certainly look into those sites and try and get some info... Trying to find land is like pulling teeth !! Oh well at least we have the 23 acres over at Bayford, trouble is that it's a bit far for some people to travel Let us know if you get any more info on some sites
