  11. yes Desciple I had the same thoughts when I first read his comments. Maybe...........................
  12. I'll just dream on ....... And while I do, Bateman, why don't you think about this. I am sure the IPKA would be happy to embrace new ideas and help anyone interested in kite sports of any kind within Ireland. Why not contact them directly and see what you can do. 1- If everyone had your attitude there would be no IPKA. (Don’t attend and get no say in the future of kite sports in Ireland) 2- If more landboarders joined the IPKA maybe they would have reason to organise events for them. 3- Landboard events were mentioned at several IPKA meetings but it was agreed that more landboarding members were required to make it worth while. On a lighter note. I personally am organising several kite weekends (non competitive) for 2006 in Ireland, England, Scotland & France. Arrangements are already in place for some of them and some are still being planned. One trip for 2007 is also being discussed at the moment. If you want to get involved just let me know. P.S. these weekends are not limited to IPKA members and we would be happy to see any new faces.......
  13. It would appear that Mr Bateman is getting confused. He may not have been the first to reply in this thread but was the first to reply in this derogatory manner. Either that or he is allowing someone else to post under his name. Perhaps if he feels he can improve the IPKA he should attend the AGM in January and offer his assistance to do so. I must point out however that he would need to buy a helmet which doesn’t restrict his vision during photo sessions as they insist on all members wearing helmets while flying.
  14. That seems to have put a stop to him.. Strange that
  15. The only images from the euros so far are the ones I have taken. They can be found her http://www.ipka.info/gal/gal.htm As for the results, as someone has already said, Most of the Irish team are spending today with airport transfers and returning the sponsors vehicles and stuff. As soon as I receive an official print out of all the final results it will be placed on the site. I can't post what I haven't got. A big thanks from myself to all those who made the effort to attend. I am sure that an official thank you will be posted on the IPKA site as soon as the guys get a chance. Tom & Kev I will be in touch soon, it was great to meet up at last. Mark

  17. I used a mixture of T Cut and alloy wheel cleaner with steelwool and scotchbrite until I got Autosol. It was what I had in the garage and worked fine.
  18. Hi Roger Hope you have received your package by now. All the best for the new year
  19. What you want depends on your weight and ability, if you are below 90 kgs get a light board eg the flexdeck / air s...The Kava is hard to get to toeside when you get to that stage but the flexdeck is a good alrounder and will cope with frontside/toeside and a few jumps. The Kava will take some lift to get it off the ground
  20. Blu Earth boards are OK., but you will outgrow it quite quickly as they are heavy. Go for a lighter board and save yourself the cost of buying another one in 6 -8 months time. Learn from my mistakes...I started with an Exit Camo and outgrew it within 6 months.not stable enough at speed........ Flexifoil flexdeck £199 Kheo Air S £189 hillbilly trampa deck with truck set up of your choice Let me know what u think
