  1. deadsleepyguy, i recomend that you don't rush into buying a kite just because its easy to get hold of, as if your looking for cheap kites consider going for a second hand one. you could always try some other kites out rather than just bullets and blades as you can get cheaper. Blades are quite advanced kites and aren't the easiest learner kitesaround by any means. i would shop around and have a good look at whats on offer. Nick.
  2. who ever origonally started this thread can't see beyond the fact that there are alot more kites around than just blades and bullets. I prefer to use my skytiger to a blade, i've tried both a blade and a bullet and find that the skytiger (6m) beats them both as its a powerful and gives alot of upward pull without being too fast and unstable, so when jumping its really easy to control the kite. Another decent kite for landboarding which i have recently invested in is a cabrinha co2 - 8.5, this is a hell of a kite for land boaring but you gotta be careful not to crash it.
  3. Don't mean to sound harsh but, Do tou really need sponsorship if you have 32 nearly 34 kites (if my maths is correct)? You must own a shop cos thats a hell of a lot of kites for a begginner (were you being sarcastic by beginner?).
  4. Thanks for the help but i managed to get it running now, I closed it and started it a few times and it decided to run after a while. Its a bit of a mystery why it didn't wanna work before, but its a decent dvd anyhow.
  5. Hi, Is anyone else having trouble getting the kiting dvd in issue 7 of kite world working (not the sking/ snowboarding 1). cos i gave it a try last night and it didn't wanna run after it reached 7 seconds. Can anyone help? cheers nick
  6. bet none of you's have heard of this one: it sounds a bit lame but i think it looks cool as f**k, get the board moving at a bit of pace and then go for a turn, stay facing down wind but slide the board out when manoeuvering the kite to the other side of the window (just sliding when your turning to go back the way you came, but, with the foot at the front of your deck going in new directoin, push your toes onto the wheel furthest down wind at front of board and apply pressure, your board should start to lift up onto the one wheel, and then you should be going along on one wheel. To stay on the wheel just vary the pressure applyed by your front foot and move your weight around. Can't hold it for more then about 9-10 seconds yet unless i go to a standstill, but will work on it. Don't no if that makes much sense but give it a try if it does. only thing is you need a bit of breeze to do it in.
  7. You should be paying about £230 for a decent one but they tend to spring leaks quite often so if i was you get a decent dry suit, or get the 5mm wetsuit. Don't opt for the cheap way out as i have done in the past. Nick
  8. Thanks for the advice, those links were really helpful. i'll be giving it a try on saturday morning if theres a a bit of breeze down here in swansea. Cheers Nick
  9. I started out with a flexi stacker, and stacked with other peoples just learning how to steer the thing and getting decent power out of it. After i'd learned the absolute basics i got my skytiger 6m and that was a really good kite to go for. I started getting airs straight away and buggying too. Even after about 3/4 years i still have it, and have found it is a decent kite to kiteboard with. It gives you alot of upwards force and alot of hang time, its slow but has immense power. Id say its worth looking at if you have already got the hang of flying. These kites are also cheap these days!
  10. I have done some decent jumps before with the mountain board and done 360's + 720's with the kite (just jumping), but im a little warey about oding a 360 on the mountainboard anyone got any tips? Is it a case of just going for it?
