  1. I agree, it looks like i'll need at least 2 kites but for starters i will get the 4.9 and get used to it in lighter winds. rather get the big cost out the way (cos it's a pressie!) and then i can buy the smaller version myself! should have it by the end of the week. brilliant:D :)
  2. Thanks for your tips guys. I'm thinking of getting the blade III 4.9m. May be a big kite to start but it sounds like the one for me in terms of power, jumps, etc.
  3. thanks gingerbloke did you get air with the 4m as thats what i like?
  4. great advice guys. i called into a local kite supplier (by pure luck based where i live and found it on the flexifoil site). he recommended the blade 4m and said it should give me the range i need to start with. i hope he's right because as you say it's an expensive business at 330 bucks. the little devil looks interesting and seems cheaper. anybody got one of those. whatever, i'm now itching to get out there and have some fun!
  5. no dude - i'm a 6ft 2in muscle rippling beast and i want some extreme fun and definately some air rather than drag. i'm all confused now whether to start with the 4.9 or smaller!!!!
  6. Thanks for all your advice so far. So what kite below the 4.9 would you recommend for when the wind is to tough. The 4m or smaller.
  7. Thanks for that feedback. Sounds like the one for me. Don't want to get a small one and find i need a bigger kite almost immediately. I'd rather be challenged especially if i'm shelling out £300 plus.
  8. Ok, I've read through all the messages and as a relative newcomer i reckon that the 4.9 is the right kite for me to go for. I live inland so places to go are restricted and i will use the kite purely on its own to start with. I don't mind being dragged and i want air so can you guys with a 4.9 tell me if this will give me what i want. guess i dont want to break any bones so will it let me down gently. ps. i weigh 15 stone.
  9. thanks for that. looking to spend up to £300 for the kite with the board following on later after i have mastered the kite. what more do you need to know.
  10. Spent a few days in Cornwall and did some kiting with my Flexifoil Proteam 8 but the Land boarding looked great so now want to step up to that. I'm thinking of a blade or bullet but not sure what size i need. I'm 6ft2in weighing about 15 stone. I'd like some good power to get me moving and off the ground! Can you recommend kites and boards and where to buy. Last but not least do I need a bar or handles (2 lines or 4)! Sorry - basic stuff for you pro's but can't find the answers anywhere else. Cheers.
