  1. Got a 2m in the bag, just hope I'm not gonna use it as an umbrella!
  2. It's not true!, I wasn't anchoring in poo bay last night Don't know what your on about, choccy "sandy point grinder" is'nt much better Have managed to find four others with nothing organised & have booked a chalet at Braddicks. See you at the weekend, I'll be the one coming up behind you
  3. Pendine's my personal favourite, excellent beach & the locals are friendly. Do a search & check out the local club (PWSC), you may have to let them know your coming. We camp at Morfa or the Grove, the Grove is cheaper with a nicer view, though a little more basic. Bear in mind the beach is an MOD firing range with restricted access in the week.
  4. No help at all mate Don't know if there full up as I haven't rang anywhere yet. It's not 'till the weekend so got loads of time!, should repost with the header "anyone want to share a chalet with a t****r who hands his tax return in on the 31st of jan every year". It used to be the 30th september until I had enough confidence to do my own account calculations. Didn't like missing the start of the last race though, the spectalar sight of 60 buggies on a rolling start didn't look so good half a mile away
  5. Hi, Has anyone got space for two people in a chalet at Braddicks holiday centre this weekend?. Thanks, Richard & Cathy.
  6. This has been a problem in my local club. Someone came up with tying a simple granny knot on the end of the line before refitting, so the end can't slip through. Have done so on mine & its worked a treat. One day there'll be some little black things flappin' around, on the end of my bridles.....
  7. Thanks for the replies, I've only had one go in a buggy wih a seatbelt & that was at easter, so you've given me something to think about. I thought it might be interesting to compare setups, what are your own seatbelts like, do you strap yourself or the buggy to the kite & on an open or captive system?. No matter which, I'll make sure I see someone on the beach before lift off.
  8. Hi, I want to start buggy jumping & need to fit a seatbelt on a PL comp XR. I was thinking of using an old car seatbelt for material, having a stiched loop at one end & a velcro loop on the other, for quick release/adjustment. I have a spreader bar for it with quick release snap shackle. Haven't been to the scrapyard yet, so any help appreciated.
  9. Thanks anc, Hadn't thought of lacrosse so gives me something new to look into. I want to have a go at racing next year & have heard it can get a bit nasty, people ramming you etc. Perhaps I should go for something from the american football section, there's some really mad stuff there, few Ben Hur spikes on the buggy & I'll be sorted
  10. Hi Anc, Know your getting something different just wondered what make the one in your picture is & where you can get it. Been reading about gixer which makes you think about getting one with hip/coccyx protection & putting your harness on too. Trouble is you'd need something like a v-flex 2 to fit into, have enough trouble fitting in my Flexi sport with a bump n jump harness on as it is!.
  11. Hi Anc, Where did you get the picture of the body armour?. Going on the length of the shoulder protection it looks like it may fit with a harness. Have looked at a few & they have all been too long as they protect the base of the spine or too restrictive on body movement. Think you may find it useful, I wear a helmet , knee & elbow pads which have all come to the rescue but have have landed on my shoulders twice with the result of three months physio on each one. Wouldn't of minded so much if i'd done them at the same time so I missed less buggying!.
  12. Where do you buggy in Exeter?, should be down visiting friends soon & they fancy a go. Have thought of going to Westward Ho, where are the best beaches down there?. Richard.
