  1. Yes dude I have thanks. Just addin my two penneth worth. Only adding a suggestion that was more sensible than "on the roof of the car or behind the sofa" FFS! I used to have problems storing my Flexdeck.....until I got the Scrub bag. And it holds all the other stuff too. Cheers dude
  2. Howdo Have you looked at the scrub bag? Damn good bag. Holds my Lion Canyon II plus helmet, harness, Knee and elbow pads. Worth a look? Cheers
  3. Cheers Maverick I'll be in touch when I'm next in Crewe.
  4. Holidaying in North Wales in August. Apart from Black Rock, what other bans/restrictions do I need to know about? I'll be in the Barmouth area. Where can we/can't we fly? Cheers lads
  5. Maverick - where in or around Crewe do you fly? Iwork for a company who's sales office is in Crewe and I get up there quite a bit
  6. Yep, pretty naff aren't they? I took my strop line off. From memory you have to pull the loop apart and then thread it all the way down the handle and off. Then do the same for the other handle. As for the kite killers. I attach mine to the loops with small carabiners. Ditch em and get some flexi handles. Much more comfy. Just my 2 pence worth mate. Good luck!
  7. I believe it's a fairly big field off the road from Rugeley to Hednesford (A460?). It's signposted too. Not tried it out yet
  8. Hi guys I've heard Pine Cafe mentioned a few times in the past. Any good? Can you board there? Cheers
  9. It depends m8....if you're the first one there, it's best to see Ed first. But if there's a few there you can carry on and usually Ed will come over later or you can see him when you're done. Hope that makes sense.
  10. Hi guys, Who's flying at Measham these days? Drove past earlier whilst driving around looking at houses (as you do:( ) and there were a couple of guys on there. How come I've never got my kit with me..............
  11. Dash I've got a 4.5 Bullet that I use for boarding quite a lot. It's on 30m Ozone lines and it's ******g great!! Good luck with it dude.
  12. Now you're talkin....
  13. I agree-you can steer with the killers. I also pull the handles back in on the killers, grab the handles and take the kite back to the zenith. There you can take out any twists etc without landing unless it's a real mess. @ttonyy - I found that untangling on the ground was a pain with the kk's larksheaded on. Stuck with it for a few months before using carabina's. However crashes/problems are less of a problem these days as I get more experienced with kite/board.
  14. Hmmmm. Good point well put. You may be onto something there mate. Thanks.
  15. Lol yeah you would think so but we were at a kite shop in Hinckley earlier and when I told them that PKS were selling these off cheap the reply was "go and buy it there then". So I will. Nice attitude eh?
  16. Interested in your comments mate. The only problem I can see if that they're not connected to the brake leader lines. The killers are in fact attached to the stake loops with carabinas.
  17. Hey m8 Where did ya get the bargain? Cheers
  18. Mmm. North Wales eh? (aka God's Country). Where d'ya fly buddy? I'm thinkin...my Mrs loves it there....she wants to live there... North Wales=lots of beaches and fields=lots of kiting
  19. Blades are deffo better upwind m8
  20. They were the original flexi's that came with the kite. The dealers' changing them tomorrow. Must've been a fault? I've dropped my 6m Samurai onto killers before now no probs.
  21. Anybody had this happen? Launched my 4.5 Bullet in about 15/16 mph gusty wind. Very quickly got overpowered so dropped the kite onto the kite killers (flying on handles). The kite began to come down until the bungee cord from the left wrist leash snapped clean in two. I'm left with a handle in my right hand and the other handle 25m downwind of the kite. Tied the killer back together so that I could use a smaller kite. Has it happened to you??
  22. I believe most (if not all) of the Sigma range at Halfords will work. I went for the £20 jobby. The controls are waterproof too. Go for it m8
  23. 3m Ozone Little Devil / 3m Samurai or 7.3m Frenzy. The Frenzy will de-power quite a lot so no worries in the wind speeds you mention.
  24. I see you're from Brum m8. Go to the WHS at The Fort they have all the kite mags there. Cheers
  25. I recently got a 3m Little Devil. Had a good sesh even in gusty cr4p wind last week. Alternatively try the 3m Samurai.
