  1. You could try Boost 01273 721100 . They sold them around 1 year ago!
  2. Contact Andy @ Airhead (01903 850831) - He'll give you the lowdown on the do's and Don'ts.
  3. You can buy line extensions from any Naish dealer. Last years Aero II's came with 20m line + 7m extensions. The extensions are really good if you want to increase the power stroke of your kite i.e for jumping higher or gaining an extra bit of bottom end from the kite. If you want to speed the kite up and shorten its power stroke i'e for wave riding or rally high winds, just take the extensions back off. To join the extensions follow the diagrams... 1. http://www.floatsgone.btinternet.co.uk/knots/looptoloop/looptoloop1.gif 2. http://www.floatsgone.btinternet.co.uk/knots/looptoloop/looptoloop1-2.gif 3. 4.http://www.floatsgone.btinternet.co.uk/knots/looptoloop/looptoloop.gif http://www.floatsgone.btinternet.co.uk/knots/looptoloop/looptoloop4.gif If you have problems getting hold of some line extensions try calling Dave at Five Forty kitesports. www.five-forty.co.uk
  4. Nah this is last years kite those prices are way to low unless the kite has some major repair work done to it!!!It was one of the top kites last year if you are heavy..... I would reckon £350-375 if its complete and in good condition or £300 kite only

  6. If you have any other queries try contacting Sean @ Airjam, Newquay - Tel 01637 850 888
  7. POSTED ON BEHALF OF SEAN (AIRJAM, CORNWALL) Ok, its been a hard slog of council meetings since they tried it on with an outright kite ban at easter... roumors have abounded since but we do have a result tanks to the RNLI and Carrick district council overriding the local parrish council. Below is the new Kite Zone map which will be going up as signage at all access points to Perranporth very soon. http://www.airjam.co.uk/Perran-Kite-Zones.jpg Please bear in mind: This is a map showing ZONES where kiting is NOT allowed... not showing dedicated take the pi$$ kite areas so please still use common sense and respect other beach users in the areas that kites are tolerated. This is a TRIAL... If we abuse it a TOTAL BAN will be swift. There are still local riders who should be setting an example tearing up the high tide in front of the Wateringhole... please don't ! This regulation applies at ALL TIMES ... ALL YEAR ROUND, not just when the lifeguards are there. LAND KITES at the Perranporth end have been the root of the problem so if someone could please post the info on the Flexifoil forum that would be good. Please spread the word as much as possible as Perran is a popular tourist location with a lot of visiting kiters. Never know, a friend of a friend may end up here on holiday so a little knowladge will help us all. Cheers, Seany AJ.

  9. If you have trouble finding replacements you can try the repair techniques described in the link below. I have repaired a bladder from a 16m storm like this and although i no longer have the kite i believe the repair is still holding!! http://www.customkites.com/news2003/bladder/index.htm
  10. Make sure you replace the chicken loop before you use the kite you may be able to unhook when normally powered but if a squall hits you and you become overpowered you will not be able to unhook!!! Around mid 2002 all manufacturers started to supply kites with quick release chicken loops as standard. This was due to many people finding that they could not unhook from the chicken loop when in trouble! I have used my quick release many times... usually when i come back into the beach and find myself overpowered. Chicken loops are available from any kiteshop that sells kitesurf kit and should cost around £20. If you have trouble getting hold of one contact Five-forty kitesports on 0114 2660 321. One important thing, when you get your new chicken loop practice releasing until it becomes second nature!!
  11. We all know what can happen next!!! Avoid using surfboard leashes of all types!! http://www.ualberta.ca/~msusoeff/woah!!.jpeg

  14. From www.windfest.co.uk Wash Crossing Race across the Wash The Wash Crossing from Skegness to Hunstanton and back again is set to happen between 5 th and 10 th June and we can now confirm competitors: Kitesurfing Kirsty Jones Andreya Wharrey Danny Seales Marcus Damsel Windsurfing Matt Wemms Dion Hunt Andy Bell The crossing, which has never been done before, will cover a distance of 13 miles each way, the race is anticipated to take 2 hours. The 14 mile funnel of sea known as the Wash stretches between North Norfolk and Lincolnshire . It is subject to rushing, surging tides and sandbars with heavy seas throughout the middle in areas known as the ‘Roaring Middle' and the ‘Deeps'. There is also a risk on a warm summer day of sea mists which can build within minutes and decrease visibility to less than 3 miles. To protect the participants, 3 special support and safety vessels will be monitoring the race carefully every mile of the Wash. In addition to natural challenges race participants will face, the Wash is a busy shipping lane. Boston and Kings Lynn are major ports and see a regular traffic of 300 tonnes+, 150ft long container ships carrying steel and wood from Scandinavia and Europe . John Irvings, Coxswain mechanic at Skegness Lifeboats is concerned mainly about the weather closing in during the race and is reassured at the safety measures already deployed by Windfest. ‘ There's no doubt in my mind this will be a big challenge for those participating, but the RNLI will be on hand to help the Windfest team with all safety aspects and navigation. We wish the participants all the very best'. It will not only be a test of speed, skill and endurance but will also raise vital funds for the RNLI, to support the invaluable job they do every day saving the lives of water sports enthusiasts around the UK . The supreme Cross the Wash victor will be the first kitesurfer or windsurfer to make it back to the Butlin's Resort Beach . The race involves a running start from the beach, heading out across the bay towards Hunstanton, following the course mapped out by the Red Bull Buoys. Once at Hunstanton, a marker buoy will dictate where the athletes will turn to start their return leg Tickets for the Friday night All Live and Saturday Extreme Dance parties are selling fast and furiously… so get in there quick and call Coogees on 01754 898202 to reserve yours Windfest Wash Kitesurf & Windsurf Race. In association with Flexifoil, Ripcurl & Butlins

I'll dig them out and find out which one i bought then post a list up here. You can have them for the bargain price of £2.50 each + postage if you want. Tom
