Yesterday saw the first Clubboss Kite Jam at Rushcliffe Country park, Nottingham. Although the wind was on/off a very good day was had by all and some excellent moves displayed. As a simple rule of thumb i generally halve what i hear!

On that subject, i was just wondering ( as total brainless on boading and comps).....in big competitions do riders fall into seperate catagories for kite size and type. Or is it just a case of 'Fly what you want and do the best tricks you can'

A good day was had by all...including us non-boarders. Congrat's to Geoff & Charlotte, worthy winners. Damn cold though!!! Same there was not bloody WINDchill to go with it!!!

Just a note for the camera man: Next time try to keep the ground in shot too as it gives a better indication as to the height. That could have been a legendary clip if it had been filmed with a little more care. The kiter obviously has more balls than brains. But how can you say that because you had a go on a mates 3 1/2 bullet you have the experience or skill to jump from a s10 to a bIII 6.6? I obviously do know you and i try not to judge people i dont know but in your case i will make an exception, you seem to me to be very nieve. One day instead of a fantastic vid you will end up with evidence for the coroner and evidence for the death of power kiting. be more careful mate, no one wants another 'book of condolences' thread. i would have let them have a quick fly of the 1.5m Bullet and let them see the power they have in the strong wind.Then explained that theirs was over three times the size. Sure they would have got the message, actions speak louder than words eh? Jon
