  1. Thanks for all your advice, I can't wait now. I already have BPKA Ins and always wear a helmet and use kite killers with a harness so should be fully covered. Hopefully I might get to meet some of you guys down there upon my visit, fingers crossed the weather is good that week.
  2. Thanks all for your replies. I'm no beginner and have been actively doing this for some years now but just as a hobby. As I have never been to this part of the country I have no idea where the lifeguard hut is. Therefore I have been on Google Maps and had a look around and the only building that I think resembles a Lifeguard building I have added a line and attached the picture. Could someone confirm whether i'm miles out or actually it's a good guess. I'm trying to understand what part of the north part of the beach we can use. http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w7/stundies/Untitled.jpg
  3. I am taking a weeks break later this year near Woolacombe and noticed how close it was to Saunton Sands and Westward Ho. Unbeknown the the misses but I am planning on tajing my kites and buggy. Can anyone tell me if it's allowed on these beaches or if it's banned or what if any are the rules i.e. need to stick to a certain zone within the beach etc... Thanks
  4. Just a quick hello to Bernie who I flew past on the A55 today, recognised your mota from the "TURBULANCE" sticker plastered across the back winda :p :D
  5. Well considering I have done more kiting already this year than I did last year yesterday @ Prestatyn, it's definately given me the enthusiasm to get the equipment out more often. Great to see Bernie and meet new faces from Sutton Colefield. Had a good time considering the state of the wind. Here's to hopefully a better year than 2007 where kiting and the winds are concerned. :D
  6. I phoned him and made an offer of £190 cash as it was advertised before , I went to pick it up from him personally so he didn't have the mither of P&P. Ending the auction early didn't incur final sale eBay charges.
  7. Sorry to ozone mammatus I did buy the axle from eBay. I too have had a lot of bids withdrawn from eBay and thought I would try on this occation to get the auction ended early. I made the seller an offer he couldn't refuse so he agreed. Again, I do appologise to ozone mammatus for upsetting him :(
  8. Firstly they haven't an inner tube fitted. Secondly I managed to get the offending tyre off the rim to inspect it for glass, tears, rips etc but found nothing. Upon trying to re-fit the tyre to try and blow it up i bent 3 screwdrivers trying to lever it back on , mashed up sealing rim of the tyre , put numerious scores on the rim , threw it across the garage several times and just got completely p****d off with it  . I have now purchased 2 second hand wheels and tyres from a guy down south but I won't be out shang-a-langing this weekend, got to wait for the cheque to clear :(
  9. Hi all. Just wanna say that even though I had to walk back to the Nova from the outskirts of Rhyl (About 2.5 miles) with a puncture :( , Sunday was an excellent Shang-a-lang:) . I managed to top 33.3 mph :D on the old Garman so didn't do too bad. It was nice to be able to get out again and meet some new peeps. Hope to see everybody down there again real soon, just got to get somebody to reply to my post on the wanted forum before venturing anywhere again.
  10. I am new to this adiction and was wondering where I can obtain third party liability insurance incase anything ever happens whilst flying the kite on the beach / field. Does everybody use a standard company or is there a few to choose from? Who are the best? Cheers.
