  1. Well said Bob ! Ithink anyone one who is talking about this should first try down turning there kite while there wheel's are still on the ground, and moderatly powered up. Only then will you realise the forces involved. For sure it is possible on land, but there is a learning process involed, and part of that process is not making the move. On water, this breaks bones. Water is a lot softer than land !
  2. Protection is a must. In the begining knee pads. Your going to get pulled over the front plenty. later on as you get more confident, cash pant's will save your ass. Cos you will miss time it, and the kite wont always hold you up. You will feel this even more if you wear a waist harness. Eldow pads for hard surfaces like grass. Though a body armour jacket will work better. A Bummer in the summer, as it will get hot. All-way's put a lid on it. You never no when it will happen, but if you are pushing your ridding, sooner or later your head will slap the ground. Also wearing a lid is the most visual sign to other's that saftey is important. As for wrist gaurds, i've had a few moments wear i would have liked them, but for the rest of the time i feel that they would have given me more problems with kite control, and this is the formost in saftey.
  3. Count me in Mikee, but sadly i'll have a camera in my hand rather than a kite
  4. I totally agree with you Bushy, at 6.4 kg it's light but not super light. However you wont find anything under 9 kg any where near as strong as this truck, deck combo. Not only is the weight good, and the board bomb proof, but the ride is some thing special. The pop in the deck give a nice kick to you jump's and a nice cushion to land on. While the truck's give the smoothest ride out there. The differance in ride between the 35 degree, and regular reflex, is that the 35 gives a more soild and stiffer ride, and likes to hold more power. While the standard reflex has more pop and a looser feel.

Hi Markus, Yea it's a real good idea to try spins without the board first, but do be sure to keep pulling on your front hand as you spin. When first trying to spin like this, it's easy to forget to fly the kite. Not so bad if you are spinning backwards as it wont interfer with your rotation much, but you might come down a little heavy. However if your spinning forwards and the kite stays behind you, it will stop the rotation mid way and bring you down on your back. Good luck, and always beware of where your kite is.
  6. Just turned 38. While at out to grass last weekend, playing at some down hill. A friend asked if i was having my second child-hood. Narr, I'm only halfway through my first one ! Bigger boy's need more toy's.
