  3. Hey guys Name is Andy aka Killer. Moved to Bicester a few months back from the south coast ( Fareham Hants). I see you are looking for members and wondered if i could be included. I have been land kiting for about six years and started kite surfing last year. Looking forward to Middle Wallop this year, just hoping and praying that the tickets arrive !!! About half a mile from me is an old RAF base. It now houses a gliding club, but i have spoken to the club secretary who says we can join as social members for £30 a year. This membership allows use of the airfield in the evenings only as the gliding club use it the rest of the time but something is better than nothing. Cars can be parked in the arifield grounds and use of the cheap members bar are also benefits. Hope to hear from some or all of you soon and look forward to meeting as many of you as possible at Middle Wallop. I am bringing my long wheelbase silver sprinter ( target express livery) to the weekend. See you there
  4. Hi all, I think something needs clearing up here. Yes Brian did lose his 4.0mtr to the see at Wittering this sunday but to his utter credit, with the exception of a guy with a super ten up he was the last man out that day. Even i who usually kites until physically removed from the field/beach had long since bowed to the force of the wind and packed up. Brian and wayne decided to go for one last blast.......wayne put his 4.0 up annd within minutes had landed and packed away. I wont make excuses for what was one of the funniest things i have seen in a long time but the wind that day was strong, but with gusts of double the regular wind it was a miracle he got the kite back. Top marks Brian. Makes a change for all to be laughing at you at the end of the day and not me. P.S we have a short video of Brian dragging the kite from the murky depths. it wil be up on our site really soon http://www.powerkites.cjb.net Andy AKA Killer South Coast Power Kites
  5. Posting this for a mate. He has a 9mtr blade 2 and is not sure wheather on not to go to VPS. He has flown VPS on other kites and is impressed with ease of flying and like sysytem set up, but is concerned about expensively converting a kite and not being totally happy with the result. on such a big kite. Also concerned about saftey issue of not being able to completely depower the kite at quick notice Any coments appreciated.
