Top film, THE PIANIST tonight on ITV at 11:45. It's harrowing, saddening, haunting, pull no punches and is not likely to get one into the Crimbo spirit, but it's magnificently compelling and is well worth a tear or two. (In my opinion, like) Oh, and it's the only film to be endorsed by the Holocaust Educational Trust. Oh+1 It's a true story, based on a survivor's memoir Oh+2; The memoir was banned in 1946 by the Poland's postwar communist regime and was out of print for over 50 years.

I thought to meself last night that it will be so ironic when the geeza who got the RATM ball rolling, starts doing the interview rounds on the tele, and in doing so becomes a minor celebrity himself.
