Top film, THE PIANIST tonight on ITV at 11:45.
It's harrowing, saddening, haunting, pull no punches and is not likely to get one into the Crimbo spirit, but it's magnificently compelling and is well worth a tear or two. (In my opinion, like)
Oh, and it's the only film to be endorsed by the Holocaust Educational Trust.
Oh+1 It's a true story, based on a survivor's memoir
Oh+2; The memoir was banned in 1946 by the Poland's postwar communist regime and was out of print for over 50 years.
