  1. Is it a wireless speedo? Mine is, and it behaved like this at first.. then I moved the speedo closer to the sensor. Of course... all of this happened before I crashed and snapped the speedo off.
  2. Have a go with a blade in your buggy before buying .. I have a 4.9.. I love it, but it's not for everyone.. I've still to get the hang of turning fast without going into ESSM (Ejector Seat Simulation Mode). My bullet is less fun, but more forgiving.
  3. Homer... Two beaches in that area where they actively encourage buggying: 1. La Grande Cote 2. St Georges De Didonne. They have right of ways signs ... the works.
  4. Stu ... http://www.flexifoil.com/products/spareparts/sport_buggy.php Has the parts list ... you just need to contact a flexi dealer (Mike?) and you are sorted.. Also noticed .. http://www.airbossworld.co.uk/buggy%20spares.htm Hope one of these help.
  5. Stu.. is that you?? I guess you never found them then???
  6. too many good places in Ayrshire to count ant!!! Stevenson is the best place... great beach.... good grassy area....Look at the irvine flyers website... http://www.irvineflyers.fsnet.co.uk/
  7. There is an area in EK that is big enough....... have flown there but never buggied.. about 4 pitches in size... will try to find it on Multimap and post a link
  8. hmmm.. I've met a guy from Erskine at Stevenson a couple of times... he told me there was a bunch of guys who buggy at a park there....but can't for the life of me remember where...
  9. jeez.. never knew they didn't allow buggying there... looks so good too..: have you tried stevenson?? by far the best place...about 0.5 hour - 45 mins drive from Paisley...great beach, great grassy area next to it.
  10. I se you are a Paisley man ... what about the football pitches at St James interchange??? Must be one of the largest grassy areas in this hemiphere!!...it's huuuuuuuuuggggggeee!.. Or... the usual places..irvine, troon, stevenson...
  11. My tuppence.. I had the standard lines on my 3.5 for about 4 months now.. they are now completely 'gubbed' fraying all over the place and in definate need of repair.... it's not as if I've mistreated them... just wear and tear.... Like I said ... just my tuppence.
  12. Greenman?? Are you French?? Because your English is terrible.
  13. hmmm .. something about Andy V's posts makes me think he is a Scotsman .... would I be right Andy?
  14. They do tend to get in the way, it has to be said. From what I see, most fliers don't tend to use them. Like Andy says, I too use them when the wind is 'up a bit' ..saves the humiliation of running after your gear when you bail... saving time to make yourself look daft in other ways
  15. I have a flexi 2001. Space isn't an issue. when not in use I store the wheels under a bed, I leave the frame complete, although I fold the seat completely forward (takes 1 sec). I store the frame upright (only about 8 inches wide at widest point) in hall cupboard. When transporting, it goes on it's side in the footwell of the back seat, can still fit one passenger in back seat like this .... no problems...
  16. hmm.. funny... the number of posts Granty has made is the exact same as the collective IQ of you bunch of back slapping numpties. Someone tries to do something .... we slap him down .... ahhh.. .it's the British way, huh?

    New Bullet?

I use a 3.5, seems to cope with everything I've thrown at it yet!! The gap between it and my 5.5 bee seems just right. Great, Great Kite, easy to fly, surprising amount of pull. I can buggy with it in moderate winds without even trying to work it ... just hang it like a sail. My one complaint about bullets still stands though...land it at the edge of the window, tends to 'fold over' when it's on the ground and needs a visit to fix it... this happens for me easily 50% of the times I land/crash it at the very edge of the window ... pain in the backside to have to get out of the buggy...my bee seems to be able to be 'shaken' out of most situations like this, but the bullet won't budge ......but .......well worth the bother for all that!!
  18. There is also Troon and Barassie..... plus a few other beaches .... spoilt for choice really! See...http://www.kitesurfscotland.supanet.com/ for more info (seems to be down at the mo tho ...)
  19. I've bought both Buggy and Bullet within the last month... in both cases Kitedynamics (http://www.kitedynamics.co.uk) have matched the TOTE price, and delivered next day for free... Helpful, knowledgable guys too.....
  20. wicked... this may or may not help. On the Flexi page there is a list of part numbers for every single piece of the buggy ...http://www.flexifoil.com/products/spareparts/flexifoil_2001_buggy.php I don't know how expensice they are, but you can just buy them via your dealer. At least that way if they don't fit, you can send them back (like I did with the first front wheel bolt I got from Flexi ... microns out, didn't fit).
  21. But... I don't have a garage.... sorry ... should've mentioned that in the subject line ;-) (no shed either)
  22. Hey! I live in Glasgow... fell asleep at a party and had my trousers stolen once..... A buggy would go in no time ...
  23. Want a buggy that can be taken apart after use and stowed in the boot / under the bed when not in use.... After a near death experience on a folding bicycle in my youth I Don't like the idea of the PL folding .... any advice?
  24. Sure... 4 line gives you more control.... But look at how many guys / girls in these forums start on s10s and still use them even when them have 'graduated' to a 8.6m Supertaipan Mactavish IV with built in jelly pocket. The thrill of a super10 ghosting through the air at 5000 miles an hour as you fight to stay hair-side-up is always worthwhile. ... that's my tuppence...
  25. Super 10 is, and always will be a blast to fly. Flew mines in circa 45mph winds last month... absolutely smashing! In my winter plummage I'm a kick in the @rse of 14st and still manage to humiliate myself on a regular basis.
