  1. this site http://www.closehq.com/pages/chq_homepage.asp has a list of sites.
  2. Watergate Bay, Peranporth, St Ives (Gwithian). All in Cornwall.
  3. I'm going Sunday 31st. Staying at Port too. However, Watergate is the place to go if you don't want to travel. I will be there until the 7th. How about you?
  4. Great news! It's a great buzz hitting new milestones. My top speed is now 40MPH, recorded with a GPS mounted on the downtube. This was with a blade 2, 3.0 mtr in about 18 - 22 knots. I think a GPS is the only truly accurate way to record speed as calibrating cycle speedos down to buggy wheel size seems a bit hit and haphazard and inaccurate to me.
  5. Just tried my link and that does not work either.
  6. dun it, thanx 4 the help :-)
  7. noticed that
  8. hows this
  9. have done that. let's see if it worked
  10. Waiting for the grass to grow is about as exciting as watching paint dry. And also, the due date for the field to open coincides with the start of my holiday, and we're going away! Can't wait for the field to open, still I've managed to do more buggying this summer than last, although nothing fantastic. Did richmond park last friday. It was not bad but would have been great in a NW or SE wind. On another subject, how do you get the logo in your signature?
  11. No, that's in Basingstoke.
  12. A while ago there was talk (I think on this forum) of a private buggy field in Fareham. i registered an interest but now cannot remember who was organising it. Does anyone have any info?
  13. Thank you to all that offered advice, but nothing's ever simple is it? Got the tyre off, a bit of a struggle, only to discover it was tubeless! (Have just seen the last post!) Put the tyre back on and reinflated. Found the hole. Took the tyre back off. Had to pop it off of both rims this time to repair. Tried to reinflate with the foot pump - no luck. Had to drive to the garage and spend 20p on their air pump. But all airtight now.
  14. R u stocking kiting gear now? I bought all of my snow board kit last year from you but do not remeber seeing anything kite related.
  15. I have a slow puncture in one wheel of my Libre Full Race. Can anyone give me advice on repair? Would I do it the same way as a bicycle inner tube? How difficult is the tyre to get off? Should I just buy a new innertube? Where should I buy an inner tube from?
  16. Not a good place to come to to buggy/board. The nearest beach you can go to is Climping. Do not go to Littlehampton as they will turf you off. Other than that there is the area in front of the Port Solent complex in Portsmouth. It is now banned at Stokes Bay and West Wittering (winter only, members only). Good luck.
  17. A golden rule, never let anyone else wind/unwind your lines!
  18. At present i buggy with 2.0, 3.0, 4.0 and 6.4mtr Blade 2's. I am looking for a larger kite for light summer winds. Has anyone compared 2's with 3's? Are the charecteristics of each very different?
  19. Sounds like your brake lines are too long, or flying lines too short. When you apply equal full brakes the kite should just drop to earth. Also get a 9" or 12" metal ground stake for sand use.
  20. Where abouts in Richmond Park can you buggy? My parents still live there so might give it a go one day? As I remeber it, it's all trees or hills.
  21. No fittings required. Either position so that slightly behind rear wheels and in front of front wheel. Strap on, the give in the tyres holds perfectly. If the buggy is too big, turn upside down and strap the buggy to it.

    Tandem?

I have a Libre full race and a PL comp. Is it possible to link the PL behind the Libre to give my kids a ride? If so, how can it be done?
  23. Great I've already got a rack like that but can't figure out how to put the buggy on it. Have you got a pic with the buggy on it?
  24. let me know where th gosport site is an i'll check it ou next week
  25. Long story, but I am unable to get a custom rack made. Does any one have experience of using bike racks. I was thinking of the Thule 914 which can be seen here http://www.thule.com/frames.asp?id=8590 any help, advice or anecdotes would be appreciated.
