  1. Yeah id def go for the 8.5 its fater and turns better and is better in lighter winds. Though both are good kites some of the 8.5s have been up 4 sale recently so might be an idea to keep an eye out for a bargain
  2. The wind range stated on kiteatb is for for getting moving on board going up to the fully maxxed out stage so yeah they are the extremes of wind range.
  3. No probs hope it helps a bit
  4. Heres the calculator to work out the wind range for the guerilla II worked out on your body weight though i assume it is for kite surfing http://www.gobigkahuna.com/guerilla_ii_wind_range.php hope it helps tom
  5. Check out this link it gives some wind ranges for several kites might help you out, but it depends how experienced you are etc http://www.kiteatb.co.uk/_windchart/ it says 8.5 b3 5 - 12 mph guerilla 13 11 - 20 But depending on your experience you will probably be able to handle them in higher winds
  6. Ive heard the psychos are quite good in light wind i wouldnt mind trying one at some point i think there was one near me the other day but couldnt stop at the time. I agree with tlw the arcs arent that good in light wind and they can be a pain in light wind to inflate
  7. The frenzy isnt too bad in light wind i have a 9.5 04 frenzy on 40 m lines and if you take the depower off it performs reasaonably well i was going about as well as someone on a 8.5 blade though he was on 30m lines. I didnt think either performed as well as the bora though
  8. Well ull get used to it pretty quickly there are lots of trim options so you can get it to fly how u like. The blades are very user friendly to fly but if your getting a large one i would get a blade 3 because the blade 2s are to slow on the turn. Though the bora turns so quickly it rocks. Might wanna check out the bego people say they r excellent but i have no experience with them. Or you could even try some kind of large depowerable foil like the psycho2 again im not o sure on their light wind performance hope this helps tom
  9. Yeah they lift but they need to be flown into the landing otherwise they luff because they are so fast they will fly right out of the window. However they are seriously excellent i know a guy who even used his to kitesurf theres a second hand one in the for sale section would like it myself but im poor lol. It might take u a little while to get used to them if you havent flown them b4 first time i tried one luffed it in seconds lol. The second version of the libre bora is out sometime soon might even b out now would like to see how good they are
  10. i dont know about the bego not tried one but they are meant to be excellent, the 8.5 B3 is really good in light winds. You could also consider a race kite ive used a 7m and 8.5m libre bora on a mountain board and they are light wind beasts the 8.5 pulled me when i couldnt even feel the wind i really want one myself. They are so fast and their upwind performance rocks but they are more difficult to fly then blades hope this helps tom
  11. Indeed it is old looks pretty cool though glad to see the sport has some interesting history behind it
  12. yeah they r good glad i could help
  13. Your best to take your board with you to make sure they fit but some fo the best bushings are made by doh doh. They come in soft, medium soft, medium, hard and really hard (according to some site i found) So it depends how stiff you like your board. They should cost around 3 pounds a packet and you need two to do a board. The bones hardcore bushings are meant to be pretty good aswell hope this helps Tom
  14. Have a look at this thread hope it helps Tom http://www.flexifoil.com/community/forums/showthread.php?t=41842
  15. I quite fancy buying a nasa wing to try with skates again might have to do that was quite a laugh last time
  16. Lol well i think i can beat that we flew my mates nasa wing with the handles attatched to the bridle acts like a sail rather than a kite its quite a laugh seen some people do this on skates in a car park they got quite a speed up
  17. Well to be different my blade has 30m lines, my frenzy has 25m lines and i have some extension lines of 15m which go with the frenzy so its on 40m lines makes it much better in light winds

    Ankles

Looks a bit like my ankle lol except i have one less screw in mine, was not fun spent 3 months in plaster i usually find the problem is if u get one foot stuck in bindings so i tend to keep mine loose now to get out of easily
  20. Lol not sure about snowboard bindings i likke to be able to get out of my bindings. Might have to try and get some boots i usually just fly in normal trainers no ankle support really
  21. yeah i dont really know anyone who wears boots to board
  22. Cool thanks for that spooky hope you get them in. What do people think of the f3s then they look pretty cool, again what are they like for holding your feet in and how easy are they to get out of if things go wrong
  23. Cool, i really fancy trying some, just got a new board and find feet do sometimes slip out during jumps thought these might help. When i have cash probably sometime never lol i might have to invest in some, hopefully ill find someone near me who has some so i can try them out
  24. Thanks airwolf i quite like the look of them, just wonder how easy they are to get out of if something goes wrong. Maxx the screen name of the other guy is "The lone Wolf", Im sure hes replied to a couple of my posts before nice guy so they are different and i registered my name first so lol
  25. hi i wondered what they were like for holding your feet in, if they are comfortable and also how easy they are to get your feet out of if things go wrong in the middle of a jump. Do you think they are better then just normal straps? Thanks Tom
