  1. There are a **** load of kiters on the IOW and near by coast. Some have boats I don't want to go to the festival ( paying ) but will be going by RIB. It's a really good night as loads of others do it. Last year the river was packed. I guess I will see you there.
  2. Snow - pah..... Just looking out my window ( Morzine ) biggest snow dump I have seen :-) Flakes like 50p's.
  3. Nearly 7pm and seetickets still has tickets available. Maybe they will have to re open the registration :-)

    Ixus 75

Thinking of buying the Ixus 75, anyone got one? Just wondered what the video quality was like. I'm off to France for 6weeks and can't afford to buy both vid cam and camera. Not looking to shoot massive videos, probably just 2 min clips of skiing etc.
  6. Just got a set of Scott Punishers - 172's just done 4 days on them and very pleased so far! Ski of the year.
  7. We can all do our bit. Build a turbine :-) http://www.gotwind.org Got my shed running off solar at the moment. Maybe the house lights later in the year.
  8. Poor old beverly, only two inches...
  9. Out of interest, what are the syptoms of the air mass meter failing? I got a problem with my golf tdi and have been told this might be the cause.
  10. Me too, but I have no problem killing them suckers.
  11. I'm not the worlds biggest fan, but I can't kill them. Think I need to get a cat, they are good at hunting them down.
  12. Thanks everyone, I'm not so worried, but girlfriend is **** scared of them . She's been searching and apparently conkers are the way forward? I might tag the next one I can then track the bugger to see if he comes back when I throw them out.
  13. Getting at least 2 of these in the house each night, this one just strolled past the telly! BTW the glass is a pint and only just got it's legs in. Anyone know what type this is? and how to keep them out?

  16. I have 4 12V LED MR16 white 1 Watt bulbs. I think for a tenner I will grab a regulator from Maplins... At least I will see a light on so I know if it's charging:-)

  18. Got to love a shed! These guys are good for parts etc, although I'm sure there is cheaper out there... http://www.reuk.co.uk/Shed-and-Garage-Solar-Lighting.htm
  19. I've just ordered my new shed... And all the goodies have turned up for my solar lighting setup.. I'm not that good with electronics, so have a quick question. I'm sure one of you will be able to help :-) I have a 5 watt 12 volt solar panel 12v 85 ah deep cycle caravan battery 4 12v LED spotlights. My question: is there a danger of the solar panel over charging the battery? Do I need some sort of regulator? Other than that, it all works a treat :-) EDIT: in full sun yesterday, the panel pushed out 24v
